I am prepared to be pissed off. Why? Because some guy (read thousands) who
Bought a house about the same time as I did
Bought a house that cost 2 or 3 times more than mine did
Put less than 20% down like I did
Had a job that paid less than mine did
Had more debt than I did (no debt other than mortgage)
Had less (even very little) savings than I did
Drove a much more expensive car than I did
Etc.
Etc.
Etc
Pissed off because the United States federal government may enact laws that will let him refinance his house with more favorable terms than I have.
That is just wrong.

i'd be pissed at that incorrect valuation of your property, but you did buy when the asset was over valued

it goes well beyond these people
the big money was lost long after these people

since you dont have any debt , you can buy a house 3 times as big as the one you bought then because the prices have come down quite a bit.

Your soooo Right!!! All responsible Americans should have to pick up the pieces for those who live WAY beyond thier means. Gimme a break with your redirect.

Yea but what about the people who had no bearing on the current situation whatsoever, but can now not buy a home, get credit, or get a job, etc... b/c the economy is in such a mess. It is for this reason that something needs to be done, whatever that may be and regardless of how we got in the mess in the first place.

As far as the people who can not get a home (keep renting) can't get credit (paying cash always works). Those who are jobless may need to swallow thier pride and take a job that they may consider to be beneath them. Something is better than nothing. If you have to scale back your lifestyles than do so. If you know anyone currently looking to supplement thier careers come to UPS. We are always looking for loaders and sorters starting a $10.00/hr. Additionally, UPS will pay for ALL of you and your families healthcare just for working part time. Pull up your bootstraps and go to work, somewhere.

Yea, and do it b/c someone else f*em over. Keep renting b/c others before you made it impossible to now buy a place even though you could afford to do so. Screw the people now who had nothing to do with it in the first place. Sounds good to me.

Either you can or you can not afford to own a home. There ain't no third direction. The availability of 100% financing is bullshite and does not mean you can afford a home.

I missed these amendments to the constitution:
right to own a home
right to have a well paying job
right to have credit extended to you
right to own a home
right to have a well paying job
right to have credit extended to you
