The crash/correction of the past few weeks has put a big dent in my overall portfolio, but I noticed these 3 stocks have either not budged or only declined a little.

RLI--It's an insurance company that pays a huge end of the year dividend every year as well as small quarterly dividends. I bought it at 43.5 about a year ago. It climbed to 56, but has only declined to 52/53 recently.

CYNpC--A preferred bank stock. Has not budged and pays a nice yield.

NMFC--A finance company that invests in small businesses. Has a nice yield and the price range has always stayed between 14.2-15 ever since I bought shares of it about 2 years ago. Hasn't budged much the past few days though it did drop slightly on the -1000 point day.

If I was smarter, I'd stick to stocks like this, but I can't resist gambling on commodities and such.

MO has been pretty steady. Glad I'm holding that one.

I own RLI, and would assume a higher interest rate environment would be beneficial. I would be leery of a BDC in this climate, also due to higher interest rates. I'm assuming your lender is a BDC. This might not be a good assumption. It's predicated on how they utilize equity and bond financing to in turn finance.

I jumped back in today after sitting on the sidelines for a few months.

Even made a little. It felt good to be back.

Haven't looked at the others, but RLI looks intriguing. I think I might buy some after the market correction or the end of year dividend. Thanks for putting it on my radar!
