if you have enough insurance as to cover every last pair of underwear in your house, you have too much insurance IMO.

When I finally get valuable suff, I'll photograph it occasionally just to keep track of it.

In quicken's (did I mention I love quicken?) home inventory manager. You can include it as part of your net worth if you want, but I don't.

I'm glad I saw this, I've been meaning to take inventory of my posessions for insurance purposes. When I bought my house 7 years ago I had used furniture, etc - not really much stuff of value. But now it would be somewhat costly to replace everything. Thanks for posting this - I will go home tonight and take pictures. Clothes/furniture/TV/Stereo etc - it adds up quick.
