Gold miners are up this month, but diverged away from spot price pretty hard YTD.

Either gold is coming down hard or miners are a great play right now.

I’ve been buying mining stocks since October. Up 10-12% and I’m buying weekly as a hedge.

XME has been my best one.

Edit: Actually DNN is up 19% for me.

LOL. Gold up maybe 17% versus Bitcoin over 200% over the last 3 years. Gold ETFs now bleeding comparatively versus Bitcoin ETFs setting record growth.

I'm not going anywhere. I bought GLD about 2 years ago and it's only up ~5.5%. I don't expect inflation to be tamed anytime soon so I'm holding steady.

Yeah that’s incorrect.

Why don't you provide the start date, end date and gold and Bitcoin prices to prove your point? Gold has not outperformed Bitcoin in the last 3 years as you stated. So tell us exactly the dates and prices that prove your point.

Gold has only had returns similar to a high yield savings account over the past several years. So what if it is an all time high. More and more money is going to move from gold related investments to Bitcoin related investments going forward. Just wait and see. Gold will typically massively underperform Bitcoin going forward on average. Bitcoin is more volatile, so there are short temporary periods where gold will outperform Bitcoin during one of its pullbacks, but Bitcoin will recover and continue to put gold in it's rearview mirror.

If we didn’t have retarded energy policy around the globe you might be on to something but…

You do realize that the government just recently dropped their emergency study of Bitcoin mining because they were previously worried that Bitcoin could hurt the power grid. You can draw your own conclusions why, but energy policy is no longer a roadblock for Bitcoin.

Depending on the exact date you use around March 2021, Slack is correct. Returns are very similar but Gold edges out BTC. Note that BTC was in the middle of its parabolic rise exactly 3 years ago and was $50k+

Thank you. I was looking at weekly charts.

200% BTC from 3y ago would be insane.

And here's irony, BTC ETFs sucking AUM from gold ETFs is bullish gold. As physical migrates east and the stock of paper shrinks so does the ability of NY and London to control the gold price.
