Going to use the news and bump today to get out of my GE position.
Held it for a while and it has been stagnant for me. Many on this board, including TBF, were correct about the complexity of the business model...and understanding it.

the feds killed us (GE Capital). Squeezed us to where GE will likely be selling us off to TCF, BOA or WF is my best guesses. TCF is run by former GECA employees.

selling business segment and moving cash
General Electric plans to sell off most of its finance arm over the next two years, redefining the multinational conglomerate as it seeks to complete a transformation begun amid the tumult of the financial crisis.
In addition to huge planned sales of assets outlined by the company on Friday, G.E. will take other significant steps, including bringing back about $36 billion in cash that now resides overseas.

Finally. GE needs to focus on its core competency. I'm taking this as good news.

Good news finally for the bottom of the bucket blue chip but, it is a cheap Blue Chip and too hard for me to ignore bulk buying here.
Thanks for the thread.
