when are planning on jumping back into the market?
Posted on 10/25/22 at 2:13 pm to Auburn80
Never
It’s never going to be good again and it’s never going to return to the levels it was at last year
The stock market is upper middle class welfare. The company takes money out of your check and gives you a pittance they call a match and they sink it into a fake money laundering organization for the democrats like vanguard. Then the government money prints to artificially raise the value of stocks. And you get to look at your number on the paper that you can’t touch without paying a bunch of tax and feel good about yourself and think that one day you might escape the wage cage
Not only is the government too broke to print money, they’ve decided they no longer want us to exist, so any sources of happiness for us have been eliminated
The stock market has been permanently rugged

Hello, Robert. When does Rich Dad Poor Dad 3.0 come out?

Downvotes mean “he’s right but I wish he wasn’t”
Nobody can argue against the fact that we live in a banana republic with a dwindling economy where everybody except the 10 people that still work (I’m one of them) get food stamps

For most on this board probably after the apocalypse and the Dow is trading at about 100. Then they will know they finally got it right

Wait for the Russkies to drop the first nuke. It will either be the best buying opportunity ever or the beginning of the end of the world.

The FED has been basically giving money away for the last 12 years

I think under investment during the oil and gas price crash the last 7 years and the pandemic had much more to do with global oil prices than the sitting US president. Energy prices are high all over the world, not just the USA

The fed should either money print or let us get nuked there’s no in between that isn’t a violation of the Geneva convention basically

Maybe a year. Too much volatility for an old guy right now

you know you really sound like you know your shite man

I’ll take the ramp when the fed pivots but I sure as hell intend to start selling again when inflation starts picking back up.

lets wait and see what happens in two weeks:
election results for House and Senate
CPI is probably going to go back up
Fuel is back up, therefore EVERYTHING is going back up
Winter heating bills with fossil fuels going back up
Somehow the inflation reduction act is going to get funded.
student loan payoff
Has anybody shaken an 8 ball and found POSITIVE stuff about to happen to see a pivot from fed or think we see capitulation anytime soon?
I DON'T, therefore, my cash will probably sit on the sidelines a little further unless I get an opportunity to buy at S&P levels under $2900, then I will probably go back in and simply WAIT.

Trying to time the market is exhausting.

I’ve shaken the magic 8-ball and asked it if the fed keeps going are they going to break something.
