Move to a place that won't be able to get signal.

I have Direct TV, but I have heard that even dying does not release you from a Dish Network.

What's your problem with it? My reception has been rock solid for over two years. Maybe the installer put it in the wrong place or didn't read the compass right when he aligned the antenna. Call and complain about it and get it fixed.

Well the jacked up the price on us after about 3 months, everytime it rains we lose signal, I am just tired of it.

Sounds like you got the free three months of HBO and Cinemax and then they started charging you for it. Read the small print next time or you'll have the same problem with DirectTV or cable. You can cancel the premium channels and save some money.

I'd still get them to check the installation. It's not normal for anything short of a hurricane rain to knock out reception.

Wrong we don't have any movie channels.

Never had this problem with Charter, the only reason we switched was to save some cash but now it is costing more to have the damn dish than it was with Charter.

I had a bunch of trouble with mine several years ago and they never fixed it. Had them terminate the contract and got hit with the fees on my credit card. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and eventually got the termination fees plus charges for two service calls back from them. Unless you have some really good reason(s)though, don't think you'll get out of it.

my issues were the result of a poor job by the installer, but dish kept sending the same company/guy out to troubleshoot. the funny thing, the second time he came out after he did the initial installation, he told me somebody really did a crappy job on the install. he still didnt get it fixed though.

What if you have it for two full years? Then is it easy to get out of it?

How long of a contract did you sign? And FWIW, most companies will buy you out up to a certain amount to sign up with them.

I just caned Dish after a year. I had Directv for 15 years before Dish. Well, I went around and around with Dish due to it crashing out all the time. Of course they wanted to charge me $15 for a service call. I told them no way and that it was a problem from day one.

I'm back with Directv and I'm a happy camper. Oh, they paid the contract out for Dish.

If you were happy with Direct for 15 yrs, why would you have ever switched to Dish?

my wifes aunt passed away about two months ago. family called Directv and got it turned off and told them she had died. the next month they were billed the early cancellation fees.

I signed a two year. Just curious because I want to drop then I'm going to have my future wife call in and get it so we would get the real cheap rate again.

After the 2 year contract is it easy to get out of?

Call around to different companies. Someone will buy you out.
