Raise was 4.1%, which was a little less than last year, but company performance was also slightly down from last year.

Bonus just paid out last week & that was 20% of base salary, also a little less than last year's percentage. The bonus target for my position is 15% though, so I was still pleased.

Thats definitely well above average. There are so many companies that almost never give anything and bog standard is going to be more in the 2-3% range.

That's the problem, we as a society have accepted crap raises giving up so much of our lives to a job that will have no qualms in firing us tomorrow.

But I stay and take it, so it must not be so bad.

I got 9.6%. I'm very fortunate. I work in healthcare and we have had more money come our way the last 3 years. I have had two years of at least 9%.

My company has been pretty much set at a 3% annual raise(unless you've done something to not deserve that), but they make up for it in the annual incentive. We can get up to 25% of total salary and they've gone 125% of that in 2021, 22 and 115% for '23. It works out better than getting a better annual raise.

I bet you can count on one hand the amount of La Tech grads that make seven figures hahaha

Disagree as a bonus is a one time payment. Your base salary compounds over years. I’ll take base increases over a bonus hitting big.

As salaries increase, 3% can still be a meaningful increase on base. 3% on a $50K base doesn’t do much in absolute dollars but it does at $200K.

What ridiculous fields and jobs do yall work in? I've worked for a good sampling of Fortune 100 companies and nobody pays or gives that.

This must be local businesses.

This isn’t the OT; I’ll assume folks are telling the truth. Lying on a message board to a bunch of strangers would be a strange fetish.

This board is full of selection bias…it’s a message board about financial topics. The financially illiterate are rarely going to be spending time browsing

Bonuses were rough this year.

Cash bonus was 30%, stock bonus (3 year vest) was 20%. Target is 40% cash.

Last year cash bonus was 54%, with a stock bonus of 15%. Target cash last year was 35% (got a title promotion this year that bumped the target to 40%). They paid slightly above target on the stock this year to try and soften the blow.

Frankly, it was expected. We missed our budget. Interest rates killed M&A activity.

Raise was 3%, which we basically get every year, it’s never better.
