A service like coin base or do you go full cold wallet.
Also why type of allocation are you putting there from % of investments perspective?

About 70% is on a cold wallet. The rest is scattered across hot wallets and Coinbase.

I use a Trezor cold wallet. I've only been a wallet owner for a few months but the process to set up was very easy.
I've been buying crypto since 2017 (mostly very small amounts I'm not a big timer) so have previously just left it on coinbase. The more my holdings have grown though I just couldn't imagine the guilt and blame I'd have on myself if it was all lost or stolen on there.
I started out 100% ETH, then about 75/25 ETH/BTC, but am now 100% BTC.

The more you learn. The more you know BTC is the only way.

Until bitcoin has widespread adoption of a trusted smart contract system, there are still other ways.
To OP, I use a Ledger Nano X for my main hodl stacks. I keep a little on coinbase to cover some stop losses. I also keep a little on a metamask hot wallet to play with defi. A quick look at my portfolio shows anywhere from 80-95% on my ledger. The rest are on those other two locations.

STX is still years behind other smart contract L1s, hence why I added the caveat of "widespread adoption" and "trusted." I'm not anti-bitcoin. I'm all about it. I just thing the all or nothing bitcoin maxi view is stupid. Bitcoin can not do it all and will never do it all. There will be multiple leaders in the crypto economy.

Coinbase. But I also understand the risks of that and it’s not much money in it.

I think it will be bitcoin as the L1 and then anything else built on bitcoin will survive.

To the OP: Cold storage, but I'd really only go down that path if you have a nice chunk. A few hundred dollars here and there? Not really worth it.
