a little back ground. I recently graduated from college at the ripe age of 29 and started working in the oil and gas industry as a purchaser. While starting salary is not great right now I am expecting a 40% increase in salary over the next two years. I am currently living at home to save money to purchase a home in the coming years.

My credit score is not great but not terrible, 660 range. I am just looking for a credit card to use for small purchases( gas, groceries, etc.) to pay off monthly and build credit.

Any suggestions on where to start my search?

Chase Freedom might be a good one for you. Rotating quarterly rewards.

Chase Freedom and Chase Slate are two that I was looking at. Slate interested me with its 0% introductory APR. Although that won't matter much since i plan to pay it off monthly.

Both these cards have the 0% APR intro offer. I'd save the Chase Slate for later because it has the additional 0% fee/0% APR balance transfer feature that you should keep open on the back burner if you ever need that sort of thing.

If you apply for it now, you won't have the option in the future to get it.

So it sounds like I should apply for the Chase Freedom.
