I work for an oil and gas engineering and design consulting company. After several rounds of layoffs the last few months, they have announced company wide pay reductions just as I am really starting to get in a good routine of putting a large chunk of my income into savings.

This sucks. I guess be thankful I still have a job...

been there, done that, have the t-shirt. They changed our bonus plan a few years ago, which was a defacto 10% pay cut, even though the raised OTE by 10k. They just raised quotas even more, completely unrealistic.

They took our car allowance, now they are taking our phone re-imbursement. The strange thing is we have 20% turnover and mgmt is freaking out about that. Well maybe not cutting people's pay and benefit is a place to start!

Good luck! yes at least you still have a job.

If you're in sales-related positions, 20% employee churn is a fairly good number.
