Commission Checks and Taxes

I noticed a huge chunk of change missing from my commission check this month. When I viewed the check stub I noticed Federal and LA taxes were taken out...
None of my other commission checks withheld those takes and I'm wondering why. Can anyone help? Did they mess up?
I am salary plus commission if that makes a difference.

You're paying taxes on that money regardless. Who cares if it's now or next April when you file taxes and realize you owe?

Commission checks should have the same taxes taken out as your regular salaried check.

supplemental income is held to a higher withholding rate.
