I gotta admit. The car is badass
Not quite as cool as my Subaru, but I'd drive it in a pinch.

Jesus dude, how small is your dick? There is no reason for you to be in this thread spewing your nonsense. You're not talking about what anyone else is.

Chick-Fil-A Operator Income
I can't comment on an operator's income, but I do know that as of 2016, the busiest Chick-fil-A restaurant in America was located in San Angelo, Texas.

I have nothing to contribute, other than the Chick fil a on Thomas Road in West Monroe stays packed. No matter if it's six in the morning or ten at night.

I have a friend that is an operator. He is one of the few that has two stores. He and his wife work as the GM of each store, which adds a little to the top.
He told us once that he shoots for 6-7% of gross sales.
So, on $4MM, that's around $240k per store. This guy is a Millionaire Next Door type, so he isn't flashy with his money, but he has a nice lifestyle.
You have to own a store 10 years AND your store has to be in the top 1/3 nationwide before you can open a second store
He also said $15/hour minimum wage would shut down at least two Chick-fil-a stores.

Sippy Cup has provided all the correct info. The only comment for the Houston area is operating more than one store. Houston area I know allow 2. The owners I know take home about 175k-225k a year per store. Only one person in America has 3 and he owns them in the Katy area. However, you can give up one location, to start up a new one. There's a family in the Houston area where the Dad owns 2, one son owns 2, and the other son just opened his 2nd.

Thanks for sharing this. Seems like pretty consistent information out there that suggests the operator income is around that 5-7% amount which on an average store puts you in the 200k-280k income range. I guess its conceivable based on these numbers that a really high volume store that is efficiently run could bring home 300k+. But a lower volume store is going to be south of 200k. The one operator I know doesn't seem to put in a lot of hours/stress for that kind of income either. Sounds like a decent gig if you can get it.

Is the operator not also the GM? I thought they were required to work in the store some? Thus not really being an "owner" but an "operator"? The one with the husband and wife is not really "operating" multiple stores as they each have one. I could also see some stores paying management a ton more, I mean if some aren't also the GM that's a good chunk of change right there. But my understanding is all "operators" have CFA as basically their only job?
I can't imagine the profit margin is under 5% unless CFA has some insurance and guarantees which maybe they do? 5% is pretty dang lean if there is ever a bad year, which honestly CFA doesn't on their top line but bottom line IDK?

The operator I know seems to have another guy who is more like a GM. I know he isn't in the store every day or even close to it so he at least had someone who is essentially a co-GM type. I guess that's up to you somewhat as to how you want to handle the labor. I know that is one of the reasons they don't let people have several CFA locations. The expectation is you are an active and present operator/manager and not a passive investor type that just accumulates assets for others to manage. Might have something to do with why Chick-Fil-A seem to be better managed than most fast food stores. The guy with the most at stake in the performance is front and center.

I did some research on this out of curiosity a while back and from what I found, the responses you've gotten here are mostly accurate. Chick-Fil-A's model is different than most fast food franchises.
You go through a hugely selective process to be awarded a location. The franchise fee is only $5,000 but you don't really own the business. Corporate owns the land and physical structure. Operators on average make somewhere around 200k. When you want out, there's no selling the business. Chic-Fil-A will give you back the original $5,000 and they take possession of the store.

The operator I know is usually available between the two stores but has a GM to run it. Those GM's are the ones hoping to be selected to be an operator. He has his set business hours and the one I know does help out when he's in there and not just sitting back.
He started working at one when he was 16. Through college, he studied business and work at the CFA through college and then became a manager and then an operator. He was also very involved with his church. Super nice guy and yeah, I think it would be a pretty decent gig.
