Anyone know why BTU spiked this morning?

Also does anyone know why the BTU in my account would disappear? Along with all of the money I had in it?

Yeah, I fired off an email to Robinhood and had an answer back in 15 minutes. I only had 14 shares of BTU so I'm getting bought out.

My only complaint is that there is no notification in the app when that happened. The shares of BTU and my money just disappeared. A notification about what had happened would be nice. Them letting me know beforehand would have been better. I should probably just keep a better eye on what I have in my portfolio.

You're asking a lot out of a free app with free trades. I think the least we can do is just look into these things when they happen.

This is me looking into it. Everything can always be better, regardless of its cost.

Other than situations like this, have you liked using Robinhood? Usually just invest in DRIPS on computershare. I've looked at using Robinhood for stocks that weren't on CS but wasn't sure about it. Seems like a good idea if you already know what you want to invest in.

I am green at investing so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I only have $250ish in Robinhood, all play money. I started using it about a month ago so not a long history either.

It's easy to navigate and cheap.

I find that a lot of the lower cost stocks (<$1) aren't on there. It is difficult to do day trading due to the waiting period of funds being available in your account.

I will probably continue to add money into it as I go. I already have a maxing 401k thru work that is managed by a company work contracts out to. I treat the money I put in there like I'm going to the casino gambling.
