Went to one of their locations and food was good. Didn’t realize it was a public company or that they’d bought Zoe.
Did some research and it looks to be a promising play. Lots of expansion possibilities especially out west where their menu should be well received.
Anyone got thoughts?

I live in a good area of Jax and there are some other nice areas around here as well and all of these areas are opening Cava restaurants. It is really growing out here. i have heard good things about it. So i own 10 shares at @39. Hoping to add if i see it really start moving.

Same management team almost bankrupted Zoe’s….

They were forced to IPO because they were burning so much cash.
It’s a solid brand and product but will likely get acquired when it’s devalued and the M&A/debt financing environment improves.
My guess is yum. They don’t have Greek or anything “health adjacent”.

Boston Market comes to mind.

The Cava here is constantly packed but I’ve read some analysis that was negative for the stock.

Great concept that could very well be the “next Chipotle” but need to figure out profitability.

Not according to the report on CNBC. all new people. They shut down a lot of Zoe locations that were underperforming.
Opening @50 in 2024 which is significant.

Would love to know more about this.
The balance sheet /cash flow don’t show anything unusual.
Can you elaborate?

I can’t speak on it but Cramer was saying that the NY area Cavas have mediocre ratings in sites like Google/Yelp. Probably a pretty easy thing to fact check and an easy thing to research for people interested.

I bought CAVA. I frequent the location in Elmwood often. I think the food is good. The main problem with this location is the unfriendliness of the staff. Most of the negative Yelp reviews are for that reason, not the taste or quality of the food. I can't understand why CAVA can't find friendlier employees at that location. The employees at the Veterans Blvd location in Metairie seem to be friendlier.
I did my own market research at the Elmwood location one day. I arrived one weekday at 11:45, and stayed until 12:45. I counted 95 customers walking through the front door. I read somewhere Chipotle can do 110-120 customers per hour at peak lunch time, but I thought 95 was a solid number.
It takes a little longer to make it thru the line at CAVA compared to Chipotle, but CAVA has more menu choices. I also think the average ticket at CAVA is a little more than Chipotle. Definitely not saying it's going to reach Chipotle status, but I think the concept and food are good. Just need a better staff.

Chick Fil A is the only concept that has cracked that code and its still hit or miss.
New York is also impossible to staff and real estate is absurd.
You're basically willing to eat your shorts there for brand recognition alone. Anything Manhattan at least.

It could be the pay. Maybe they’re at the low end of the fast food pay scale?
As for the food, I agree. It tastes very good.

Bump. Anyone get this around the 30 area? I'm in just under 40. Hoping 5 years from now this could be in the 100's.

I’m glad I bought as a trade. I wanted 25% on it.
Up over 15% in one month.
I still believe in it so holding for now.

Same I'm holding as well. Shows earnings are not until April . I think we may be in the low 60's by then. Good luck!

This stock is going to crash and burn hard. It should be trading at around $25/share on the high end.
