Best Mortgage Companies in the Area?

I am about to start mortgage shopping, buying first home and was wondering if there was a popular consensus on the best lenders to look at in the area. I've heard a lot about GMFS and a couple others. And also are there any horror stories with some specific lender you've experienced in the past?

I used nola lending and they were very helpful. I worked with Matt Lanasa and Danielle Engels. I know they recently got bought by fidlity or someone like that but both of them still work there. Good Peeps

Just find the one that gives you the best rates because after closing, within a few months, your mortgage will exchange hands a few times without your input anyways.

I used key lending solutions who works with 4 different mortgage companies. They ended up going through GMFS because they had the lowest rate a couple of weeks ago
