Anyone ever paid to have a car/truck transported cross country? Any specific transport companies to recommend or avoid? TIA

I shipped a car from NC to CA. It went fine.

Your auto insurance provider may have a list.

There are several large firms which specialize in this type of transport. It's amazingly cheap and almost always event-free.

Check around to a near-by exotic dealership for their recommendation, they get and send cars this way on a regular basis. If there a local DoD base nearby, they'll regularly use this type of service too.

checked around for my sons car(Air Force), Idaho to Georgia, it was just as cheap to drive it myself and fly back.

It should cost more than for you to do it yourself, its a service that someone has to make money doing, and who would want to drive from Idaho to georgia?
