Yeah. I was flipping it back in January. Oil stocks seem to have peaked in 1Q2021 and the money has shifted back to the FAANG after a brief shift to industrials.

Anyways, back to TELL. If oil goes up, you have a shot at some money...but right now the momentum is down. They recently noted they had $38M of cash in hand in March. Their last quarterly earnings was a loss of -4¢ per share, or -$15.4M based on 387M shares outstanding.

So, unless they start making money, they’ll burn through their cash by 3Q2021 and need to issue a secondary offering or take on more debt.

I’d hold off and see what they do. And definitely wait for the stock to start trending back up first before moving in.

(Of course any stock I comment on moves opposite of my prediction, so betting the farm might just be the right move, LOL)

Once the Driftwood project ever gets going this will be a good one to own.

Reading the tea leaves, I don’t think FID is possible here until early 2022. They have egg on their faces pretty much promising construction would start this summer. All the Qatari LNG deals are troubling. My guess is you can buy this sub $1 later this year, may re-enter at that point.

I bought some awhile back and am down ,50 share. It starts a little climb, then falls back. Not expecting a. Whole lot for awhile. The above comment is interesting.

It’s all about the Driftwood project with this stock. IMO if you like pot odds/risk vs reward gambles this is a decent entry point to start averaging down. As someone said earlier it probably will carry down closer to $1 if news doesn’t start coming out.

I think they are are interesting LNG play because they have acquired and according to the CEO still are in the market for productive nat. gas acreage in N. Louisiana.

Beyond the fundamentals, the CEO, Charif Souki, has a reputation as a ballsy, but stand up type of guy. He stared down a lawsuit brought by Cheniere (his former company) last year. Cheniere dropped the suit at the last minute before going to court. Reuters article
Just an observation, he listed his ranch in Colorado for sale last May. If he gets anywhere near his asking price he could fund the company debt for a few quarters on his own.

I just don't see how their business model can work in a market flush with LNG

Good point.
Tellurian's position on it is that they are going to be the unique and lost cost provider as an integrated LNG. They will own/control the product from upstream thru pipelines all the way to liquefaction. This interview questioned them on it pretty comprehensively:

To me the principle players at Tell make the metric as credible as a start up can be-- for speculative investment money.

His response to the short sellers:

I still believe in Charif. I’m buying more.

He updates on youtube every week at least personally.

I've known a lot.of.people who worked for him at chenier and can't wait to drag.up when the new project is started.

Said hes a jam up guy to work for and he likes to win. Their quote not mine.

basically the only reason I bought in was because of him. If anyone can get another LNG project off the ground I'd think he can do it.
