Any ACURA dealers/experts here?

Wife is looking to purchase a 2015 Acura RDX (Tech package). Local dealer is willing to match Cars.com price of $34,500. What should be our target out the door price on this?

Acura's are a good vehicle. My wife drives a 2015 MDX w/ Tech. Great vehicle.
Which dealership? I don't like dealing with BR, but it was okay. Bought our last one in Metarie.
If you do the research and find its a good price, just be happy with it. You're likely not getting close to invoice on them. I haven't done any research on an RDX, so not sure what they are selling like, but I didn't find them very willing to deal.

Thanks for the insight on the MDX, which I think is the larger version of the RDX.
This one is at Walker Acura. The ask last weekend was $35,900. Wife found their Cars.com listing of the same vehicle at $34,575, which they of course said they'd match.
The guy just shot down doing $34,500 total out the door, citing to their already doing a "sale" on the 2015s and his matching the Cars.com price... so I'm really just trying to see what our target here should be all-in.

Try for 33,900.00. Of course its stretch but 34,575.00 is a good deal.

Coach that's OTD with TTL, fees etc??

I don't know why people are so obsessed with "out the door" . The vehicle costs what it costs and taxes and fees are what they are. You have negotiated a price and now expect to basically give you another 3k off by covering the tax and fees?

My friend Donnie works at Acura of BR, email me and I give you his number

No sir. Selling price.
I give opinions often on what I think is a fair selling price, but it will never include TT&L. Simply because the MB is from parts all around the US.

Correct, and some states have no sales tax when purchasing a vehicle. Or so I have heard.

Thanks to those who pitched in some helpful info. If anyone cares we agreed to the $34,500, which ended up being a mistaken listing on their online site (the same model had a MSRP of $36,000+ everywhere else we looked). TTL tacked on a few thousand, but happy wife = happy life...or so they say.

It would surprise me if it was really a mistake on their site. Not saying it wasn't a good deal, but I've heard the mistake on website before to try to convince someone they are getting a good deal. Congrats on the purchase, they are fun to drive.

We never got to hear about your F-150 buying experience. I'm going to the dealer today to look at Silverados and hopefully successfully apply your method

$34,500 is a good deal on a solid vehicle. They will change the model a bit - lights and technology - to match what's offered in the current MDX for next year.

Because its NEVER Selling price + TTL.
Its Selling Price + TTL PLUS BS BS BS that they throw in on the contract. A dealer will typically put on another 500-600 in fees for doc prep and what not. THAT IS WHY you settle on the out the door price or you get your price and make them give you the contract price form before you agree to any price.

Exactly right, hence my question. I requested the breakdown of their out the door cost and it included $400 in fees then the standard TTL. We basically got the fees cut to $100 and that's about it. They weren't budging on the $34.5k, which, per our research, was actually a very good price for the '15 RDX with tech package.

My vehicle has been ordered and is due in sometime in August.
Dealt with a dealership out of Lafayette, Slidell, Beaumont and Baton Rouge. Houston's Ford Deal (Mac Haik Ford) never followed up, even after I engaged them twice.
Settled on a dealership in Baton Rouge area. They were able to get me the price I wanted and it was pretty straightforward. The sales person that I am now working with has been very responsive.
The other big Ford dealership in Baton Rouge area lost me, because they wouldn't come down an additional $500.00 on vehicle purchase price. So I walked. They were able to get me back in as I was ready to make the deal happen, however they still wouldn't budge and we ended our relationship as I told them they were wasting my time. Haven't heard back from them.
