All of that sounds absolutely miserable.

Ugh, I am not looking forward to my future Federal Income Tax class.

another question guys, if yall don't mind...

is research as big of a part of the graduate accounting courses as it is for other graduate programs? ...obviously I ask because accounting is accounting and being able to write has nothing to do with being as good of an accountant as you can be...that and im really good in math and terrible in english

Being able to write research papers, no. Being able to write and communicate effectively, probably the most emphasized indirect ability that any professional needs. I start my MS this fall as well, but most people have told me it is geared towards research-type stuff.

I'll only have two done [and hopefully passed]. Did you check to see if your FAR score is up yet? One of the websites I read said the first wave was supposed to come out on the 18th.

I was kind of hoping for it to be more 'numbers-oriented'

Probably depends on the class really. Since I already had the 150 hrs, I had asked a bunch of teachers and cpas whether I should wait till after grad school to sit. They all told me to take it now, because it is all undergrad stuff. Unless you take a specialized class (healthcare, oil&gas, specific tax classes, for example), I was told that you don't really learn new stuff, just refine what you already know.

I'm at UNO, and doing a concentration in Finance (it just means I have to take to Fin classes as electives). Right now I have 6125 Accounting Theory, 6302 Investments, 4152 Advanced Audit, and 6169 Operational Audit. I have to move some stuff around though, this isn't permanent. 4302 is huge for REG though, that's like half of the Becker book.
