In the market for a 2017 Highlander either Le plus or xle. Just wondering about how much I should be looking to get off of msrp.

we have a 15 XLE. If I remember correctly we got maybe 3500 off MSRP in August of 15. Toyota typically does not move much.

I've heard they can't keep them on the lot. Basically nothing off sticker.

Yeh that's pretty much what I'm hearing. They're not coming off very much.

Bought mine online there. Had 7 pages of Highlander's on their website. Did the entire deal via email / phone.

Assuming you are in LA.

Normally I'd tell you to call all the dealerships in houston and ask for their best price on the model you want. The more options you leave open, the better deal you can get. I bought ours that way and I live in town.

I'd take this method and move it to Dallas.

Yes...Harvey threw a wrench into my plan.

We just got an xle for $37k I believe. Maybe 2500 off, sorry I can't remember exact price.

Email local dealerships and go with the best deal, they are a very popular vehicle. However you can get a good deal of patient.

Edit. It was 36,700 sticker 40,140. Best deal of 8-10 dealerships between BR Houma Nola radius.
Also negotiated this before trade in discussed

Went to buy another one 2 years ago and couldn't believe the change in price.

Went with a 4Runner instead.

Go to cars dot com. Search for a new Highlander, XLE, whatever other specifics you want. Then sort by lowest price within your range - I do 500 miles. There are always dealers who post great deals. I'm seeing plenty for around $3k off sticker in Dallas.

Before driving to Dallas, go to your local dealer with a nearly identical model on the lot. Tell them you're about to make a road trip unless they can beat that price. I show them the ad on my phone. Never had one say they couldn't beat it. Except for the time I showed a guy a price on a car in Boston

Ronnie Ward in Ruston. Got a 16 XLE for $36,500. Never thought I'd get one this cheap. But with the 18 models coming in, you may find a similar deal on a 17 model.

Pit them against each other by dealing with their internet departments. As long as you know what options you want.

I lucked up and found a 2015 with 5k miles on it. Looked brand new. Was a trade in that someone obviously took a bath on. They still had it priced as new, I like to think I’m pretty good at negotiating and got about $2500-3000 off.

LE Plus and XLE are the hottest selling trims, or so we were told by the dealer we went to. They said they can barely keep them in stock. Limited and above you can get more off. The closer to 2018 the better would be my guess, you might find a limited at a good deal once the 2018s start arriving.

Well, y'all probably won't believe me but we lucked up and got a 17 XLE for just under 8k off msrp 0% 60 months(negotiated before trade). Said the 18s were coming in a couple weeks and they needed to move them.

Still can't hardly believe it myself. Cowboy Toyota knocked 4K right off the top with just an email so I took that and shopped local. Most didn't want to meet it, Hampton in Lafayette blew them out the water.

8k off MSRP

LOL! Stop lying like you the best negotiator that ever lived. No dealership in 500 miles is doing $8k off MsRP on Highlander, period.

OP-ask for invoice and negotiate accordingly.
