Let me also leave with this...........
On Thursday, the ladies beat Vanderbilt. Where were you secman12 to discuss how WELL the team played? If you had watched that game, the closeness of today's game wouldn't have been a surprise. The team is getting better. I'm not going to tell you to stop criticizing the team when they lose. But don't disappear when they win. Otherwise, it shows you're not a true fan but just a disgruntled individual who doesn't like the current coach and her staff. The team is playing better. How about acknowledging THAT? We play MSU next and that is a very winnable game. Will you post on here if the team wins...................or only if they lose?

Bingo!!! He has an agenda and it has nothing to do with wins or loses. His extreme bias should be clear to all.

She gets paid more than mainieri I believe

$900,000 smackers baby!

She's the most overpaid coach in LSU sports history.(Based on team production)

Alleva needs to either whack her salary way back down there, or better yet, find another coach.

It's year four now. Get some of that money back and use it to pay the new DC.

Just absurd when you take a step back and think about it.

the attendance has benn terrible and sad to see. Its time to stop blaming Van, but Im all for giving NC a chance and hope things will get better. To me it is a matter of talent, but I do not know who we have coming in next year.

While I hate to miss NCAA's for a year, Im fine if it means we are heading back to a power. If we finish .500 in SEC I think it has been a good year.

It makes absolutely NO SENSE to appropriate $700k a year for our women's basketball coach. What am I missing? What is the upside of this investment for LSU? When the Houston Comets win three wnba championships back to back to back and then go bankrupt the following season shows the sport is irrelevant. Com'n Alleva! Pull your head out.

Do you people realize that her salary is pretty much a direct correlation to Johnny Jones. It's called Title IX people. When Johnny gets a raise, so does NC.

Her salary is irrelevant. She was paid market value. I really could care less. Heck if they paid her two million a year it wouldn't make a difference in LSU's budget one bit. And no..............she doesn't get a raise every time Johnny Jones gets one. You people are amazing.

I have no problem with her salary. I couldn't care less that she makes more than Mainieri. The issue I have is that she just got a 3 year contract extension through 2019. I have no idea what the buyout would be, but it is not out of the realm of reality that by the end of next year (2016) Alleva might want to explore options of a new hire. I am absolutely NOT one of the Nega-LadyTiger crowd and I hope Caldwell stays here for 20 more years, but I am being realistic. This year's team will struggle to finish .500 and has almost zero chance of making the NCAA's. shite happens, you don't have your best player for half the year, you are replacing 3 starters, I get all that. One rough year is excusable. But what if they have another year next year similar to this year? Then you have a coach who is 5 years in with a program that would be going the wrong way. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Given how sure you are that you're right about this, I can't decide if this statement is funny or sad.

It's probably both.

Even though we lost to eaTme, I thought our effort based on our talent was admirable. EaTme is much better than us with a Hall of Fame coach and we made them work their butts off for the win. If we can make that effort with improvement in the future games, we can spoil somebody's season and may have our own shot to get in. If not, we're going to struggle to get to .500.
