Former LSU quarterback Zach Lee isn't ready to close the door completely on a return to football
...............
So is Lee ever likely to return to the football field? The answer seems to lie in what unfolds the next few seasons on the diamond.
If that option ever does emerge, though, Lee made it clear that LSU remains a viable landing place on the other side of that door he spoke of.
Since leaving in 2010, Lee has stayed in touch with LSU coach Les Miles, who is the only offensive coach remaining from that season.
"Coach Miles is a great guy; I loved everything about him and have great respect for him," Lee said. "That's definitely an option if that were to ever become a door that I would choose. I would seriously consider coming back to LSU."

He's like the greatest LSU Tiger that never even played for us. This is actually awesome.

Josh Booty saga all over again

I wouldn't turn my nose up at the idea of him wearing the P&G

Poor Randy Rosetta.. publishing this story 12 hours after Lee gets called up. Lee will stick around the big leagues a little longer than Josh Booty did for the simple fact the Dodgers want some return on their most expensive pick in franchise history.

Not really too damaging to the story. This starts his clock, if he flames out in 2 or 3 years, he could be at lsu by 2018 or 19

He should focus on baseball. There is ZERO chance he plays football at LSU......ZERO
I don't care if he quits tomorrow, he's not coming here ever

He should play for Arizona Western

That would mean he would be between 28-30 when he enters the nfl. After the Brandon weedon experiment teams won't want to draft a QB that old with a valuable pick so it is best for his career to stick to baseball.

Or maybe he just likes football more than baseball? Guys who make it at that level are unbelievably competitive. I could see if he is not succeeding at baseball he makes the decision to play QB. It's not all about will the NFL draft him. Being a major college QB is a ticket into coaching which is a pretty good paying gig as well and a longer career than being a pro athlete.

Lee is expected to return to Oklahoma City after the game.
It's a temporary roster expansion.
As expected, he was sent right back down.
One Game

Hopefully better to compare him to Chris Weinke.
So does this article at least confirm that Lee's college "clock" has not begun for football?

His love for football is why he chose baseball? Money talks, he is going to do what makes him money. With the QB recruits we are pulling in there is a chance he comes here and doesn't start.
