and I'll always remember the second punt return Mathieu had vs Georgia. He didn't score but that was the most agile I've ever seen one man be.

I remember Arky scoring right before this return.

lol. That little f'er was fun to watch in P&G. It was pretty cool seeing him in HS too. I loved that return. One of my all times favorite LSU plays.

Devery Henderson's kickoff return to around midfield against Georgia to set up Mauck to Green in '03.

Heard this one on WWL from John Ferguson
-Norman Hodgins' punt return vs Florida in '71 - about 85 yards for a TD. Blasted John Reaves and co. 48-7.

Saw these two on highlight videos:
-Jerry Stovall KOR for about 75 yards vs Ga.Tech in Atlanta about 1962. LSU won 10-7 I believe.
-Sammy Grezaffi vs Tennessee about a 90 yard KOR to open the second half.

Of course Cannon's in '59, Kennison's vs MSU.

If he'd have broken that shoelace tackle and made it to the endzone that may have gone down as the best return in college football.

Especially considering when/where it took place.

Holiday @ Arky after McFadden just ran that long TD.
TM7 in the SECCG. It was nuts there.
PP7 vs WVU. He pulled a huge "Got Heem"

I still get a little pissed when watching his return against Arky. Should have thrown a flag on the punter

I'm in between this thread and youtube at the same time because everyone keeps reminding me of another moment.

My Georgia, Auburn, Bama, and Florida friends called back to back raving about that return.

TM7 against Arky and UGA are top contenders. He was the most entertaining returner I can remember in yrs.

One of the most impressive I ever saw was against LSU... Willie Gault for Tenn took the second half KO up the middle and nobody laid a hand on him. It was over by the time he hit the 30 yd line (their 30 yd line) and I don't think he used more than 10 strides to cover about 95 yds.

PP7 had one of the best interception returns I ever saw against Ark and did not even score a TD. Ark was on say the 50 yd line and Mallet threw a bomb to the goal line at the home side pylon and PP7 tipped it to himself and ran cross field to the opposite sideline and made to the 5 yd line before he ran out of gas. He covered over 150 yds on the play with the press coverage back to the goal line, 55 yds across the field and 95 yds the other way. I believe that was his last reg season game at TS. LSU was wearing the Nike pro combats that day.

Holliday at Arkansas. McFadden just ran one up the gut for like 65 yards and put the hogs back in the game. Kickoff went to Holliday and he took it to the end zone. They showed McFadden and he was pissed. It completely took the wind out of their sails.

I have bad long term memory but Mathieu against UGA in the SEC title game was crazy and the fact that he had two sensational returns in one game with everything that was on the line.
