If MIles could develop talent, KW would be a Heisman guy, Lee would be starting at QB and D-line would be able to stop a dive play.

not sure about all of that, but I get what you're saying

It's not just coaching and technique, but attitude. Saban's team, particularly his defense, takes on his attitude.

In terms of raw coaching ability and player development, Saban his Miles beat easily.

Edit - Just look at two players - Deonte Thompson at UF, and Trent Richardson at Florda. Both are making huge plays, and seeing extensive playing time. Meanwhile, Shepard and Randle are lost on the bench.

is that why miles won like 10 or 11 games for 3 years in a row, with the players saban recruited?

Look at where we are now, and look at where Alabama has gone in 3 years.

That really tells you all you need to know.

If not this year, they will next year.

Seriously, are you going to sit here and argue that Miles is a better coach and developer of young talent than Saban? Really?

No, but everyone seems to think that Saban has never lost a game, he loses games, he ended last year on a 2 game losing streak...and he is in a dog fight tonite...

Can we get a Saban forum?

If we got a Saban board and a backup QB board, the post count on the Rant would plumet. But the post quality on the Rant would elevate significantly.

Saban is having to play them. LSU is still deeper than Alabama, but Bama is making it very close with their last two classes. Saban has kicked a lot of upperclassmen off the field.

Talent-wise we are even with our starters with Bama, but they are just playing better and seem to be more well coached on offense.

The biggest thing is Saban's had most of the defensive players in his system for 2 to 3 years. Chavis is in his first year.

Saban is a better coach than Miles. He demands more out of them and is a coachnot a friend. His players may hate him,but they play for him. I expect our guys to quit now that they lost to Florida like they did last year.

I think the real issue is that Nick Saban's coaching philosophy is to prepare the players to be a team, be sure they understand/know their assignments and what is expected of them, then without hesitation demand they go out and execute if they want to play for him and Alabama. That's why they look so good. It was the same at LSU. Coach Miles is a nice guy, but I don't see fire.
