My exact thought...These beta SJW whiners are gonna start protesting in the streets soon with signs #notmycoach.
LETS GO O!!!

PS Alleva was alpha AF...Told Herman to sign or get GTFO

I always think about the possibility that recruits and players visit the Rant. Its obviously very easy for a Bama fan, recruiter (or other type of LSU hater) to create an "LSU fan" alt, and post negative crap all over our boards, but that's just how things are set up by the Rant, who I imagine are mostly interested in page "hits", and overall web traffic since that drives advertising revenue. So yeah, I don't bother reacting much to the irrational, unfounded, or ill-informed negativity that breeds here. Recruits and players would be better served to maintain a similar perspective.

I agree Herman was never going to happen but how can anyone say fisher isn't a better option than O?

Well sadly Fisher isn't our coach. It's time to get behind Coach O and support our beloved tigers. Hopefully he can improve our offense with a great OC hire. Winning will shut up all of these negative comments.

Snowflake? I'm sorry but we were all lied to and told that we would get a great coach. If Alleva had no intention of going after a great coach at least he could have been honest about it. He had 2 months to line up and vet as many potential coaches that he wanted, but he didn't. He set out to fail by only looking at 2 coaches. When they pushed back he picked up his toys and ran away. A real man would have put up a fight at least, but he ducked and ran. Instead of regrouping and actually doing his job and searching for a great coach for LSU he went cheap and easy and gave us the finger and told us to like it. Screw that. I will not be happy with 8 win seasons. Will you be happy with 8-4 or 7-5? I have nothing against coach O but I feel he is in way over his head. If he is having to rely on great coordinators what happens when we don't have any great coordinators? SO forgive me if I don't act thrilled at the hire of Coach O. I will continue to support LSU but won't be as excited because I feel that we settled. Here's to 8-4 seasons.

For the love of God, can we please stop with the word "hate." I seriously doubt anyone on this board "hates" Coach O.

He's done a great job as interim and is a great recruiter that obviously has a great relationship with the players. I'm pretty sure we all respect the guy.

Believing he isn't the right choice as permanent HC isn't "hating" on the man.

The rationale for supporting O is the same that kept Les Miles here for years and brought the program into the decline that we have seen since 1/9/12. It will be fascinating to see the same arguments used for Miles being used to give O a pass when he fails too.

I've never been a Chicken Little before.

This is my least favorite hire in a long time.

Spot on. If he was going to hire in-house I have to wonder why Aranda wasn't given any consideration. Seems to me like if there's one guy already on-staff you want to lock up long-term he's it.

I'm going to be super pissed if we're 7-5 next year and Aranda is coaching somewhere else in 2017 or 2018.

All of the whinny chicken little doom and gloom disaster children on here make me want coach O to succeed even more just to shut them up. If CEO succeeds will any of them have the stones to come on here and say " I was wrong"? Although CEO was not my first choice I didn't preach disaster like so many of them , I take a "let's see " approach . But the chicken little name calling children know everything. REALLY makes this board an uninviting place to come

Completely untrue and reduculous statement. Pisses me off that one idiot says this then others restate it over and over.

He wanted to meet with Texas and Alleva threw a temper tantrum instead of fighting for him.

Strawman. Every coach relies on his coordinators, except the ones who coach offense or defense themselves, and even they rely on the coordinator on the opposite side of the ball. Without exception, every great program has outstanding coordinators.

Once again like explaining to a hard headed child. Alleva and Herman had a deal in place for Herman to become the head coach of LSU. They were probably going to announce it after the Houston/Memphis game. Armstrong called Alleva and said that Herman wanted to talk to Texas. Alleva rightfully so told them to go to hell. Why is it so hard for you dumbfricks to understand this. Herman broke the agreement. Now do you really want a jackass who's word is no good running the football team?
