If lsu loses out and goes 7-4...I dont think many would protest moving on. If he makes it to next year with whats coming back he would have to a make a run at a title to stay around....and im fine with firing les for not producing.

But can we stop with the act of you being miserable ever since hes been coach. So many "never will win with him here" "rinse repeat" etc.

We come up with silly judgements like "he out talents other teams is only reason he wins" well recruiting is part of coaching...he gets the talent so why not use it to win? God forbid a coach uses a advantage like lsu has with no instate rival to actually recruit. Also we widely over estimate lsu talents compared to other teams. If we have the #7 class vs a.# 15 class thats not the massive advantage we act it is...and thats the ranking assuming there are no bust.
Les is 1 of 6 coaches in the country with a winning record vs top 25 teams...but we pretend we lose every big game
And even though some swear they hated the hire from day 1 (even claiming the turn around job at okie state was meh....more credit we love to take away)
I cant imagine i 11 years ago if this deal was made any of us would turn it down
2 sec titles (3rd appearance)
1 NC (have another appearance in one of best regular seasons ever in college football)
Sugar bowl win

7th all time sec winning percntage (not bad for toughest stretch in conference history for a guy who lucked into every win)

Look, if we fall flat and go 7-4 i think even the biggest pumper would be ok with moving on. Every year the rant praises some new coach for a hot year they are having as someone we should hire and more often than not that coach fades away after not being able to sustain it.
This will be the first recruiting cycle since les has been here that the cycle hasnt played for a national championship and it blows and he may have lost the fire..but if les can win these last 2...that's 9-2 with a big bowl and a whole lot of momentum for the year many have been circling as the year for a run.if he doesnt make it past this year we could atleast look back at this year being 7-0 before people started pretending its been miserable 11 year ride.

Nicely done. I'm frustrated with him too, but it's not as simple as firing him right now. I just wish we could have gotten someone like Lincoln Riley instead of his bestie. If we can hold on to this recruiting class and send peveto and can walking, I think we'll be fine.

no one can pretend that, but also a lot of people saw this coming.

process over results. those shitty wins were eventually going to turn into losses.

frick les miles.

My biggest problem with Miles is stubbornness

And not chewing arse when it needs to happen on sideline

People are frustrated because he does not win the big games in the past 5 years. It's not a coincidence now it's a trend. Whatever MOJO he had early on in his career here it's over. I appreciate what he's done but he's run his course and it's time to move on.

Les has given us great moments and I feel lucky to have attended school from 2009-2012 when things were so good. With that said, the SEC is getting better every year and improvement is needed for LSU to keep pace. Les isn't going to be the one to do it.

Totally agree with the OP

Those who are claiming I told you he was a bad hire act like the entire Miles era has been dismal, yet we were nationally respected the entire time and were in the title mix a few seasons.

Not to mention that there are zero guarantees anyone else we'd have hired would've done better.

that is why i would prefer an established guy like jimbo who is still only 50

i use to be afraid of change and be careful what you wish for.. but if we are going to stay with this trend of dropping 3-4 games a season i would rather go a different direction.. and if it doesn't work.. pull the trigger again.. until it gets better..

The LSU offense was an issue in:
- 2008
- 2009
- 2010
- 2011 (especially down the stretch)
- 2012
- 2013 (*ETA - I included '13 in error, sorry.)
- 2014
- 2015

I don't doubt Miles' ability to motivate a team or foster a competitive environment in practices. I doubt Miles' ability to maintain discipline, and it's clear there's something wrong with the way the offense has been coached.

The best scenario? Get a young, offensive coach to be your HCIW, get a new DC and let the new OC run the offense.

If not? The time to start considering a change is coming...

i mean we aren't even winning bowl games any more

even the most recent win vs iowa was 21-14.. wtf?? i mean really? we can do so much better..

almost all our games are a close struggle.. i miss the days of LSU dominating inferior opponent.s
