mack brown and larry coker coached 22 years and had 1 losing season between them.

shite at 1 point Mack Brown had 9 straight 10 win seasons.

Larry Coker won a national title and lost another.

Just pointing out LSU isn't going to start winning titles after Les is gone.

Im fine with losing to teams of our equal if our guys are put in position to win over the course of a game.

Larry coker was voted on by the team. It's was smart for year 1. Dumb to keep him after that. If you watch the U, they could be full of shite, the former players say coker was just a baby sitter.

And again, his record got worse every season.

Coker was fired in 2006. LSU has played for 2 titles since then. Miami sucks because they suck.

UF and OSU say hello after firing Zook and Cooper, respectively.

Two sides to every argument. You just choose to ignore one side.

what happened after isn't really relevant. The programs are basically in the same shape as when both of those coaches left them.

Went 6-6 lost more games every season until he got fired. Diff is Les trended back up after 08.

Conference records in parentheses. Information obtained from wikipedia, so who knows if legit.

Coker
2004 9-3 (5-3)
2005 9-3 (6-2)
2006 7-6 (3-5)

Miles
2013 10-3 (5-3)
2014 8-5 (4-4)
2015 7-2 (4-2)

And Les Miles is showing a similar trend....

If he loses to Ole Miss, it will be the first time since DiNardo LSU has lost 3 in a row.

He already matched DiNardo with back to back double-digit losses.

So now its about being in position to win, not winning? Well hasnt Les done that and won more often than not?

So as long as the new coach loses close games, everyone will be cool?

Yeah that's a pretty good stat. We shall see what happens, because if he beats ole Miss, then he's trending back up. Compared to last season.

I still think he should retire. If not by end of next season, then you can fire him.

I hope we win out, but if not, I'm not against making the move as long as we make a really good hire like Florida did with McElwain. Football has changed, and perhaps with new leadership, we'll be able to move on from the pain of 1/9/12

Coker was fired before the 7th win.

The season isn't over, still think this team finishes 9-3. Should be 10-3.

Here is my thought. Win these next 2 games, get Baylor or someone in sugar, get creamed. Go 1-1 get a shitty bowl against a shittier opponent and win.

What are you talking about? This is completely irrelevant.

Are you Miles' wife or something?

process over results.

For instance, in 08 or 09 whenever Miles had that bad stretch of clock mismanagement... realist were saying how bad of a look that was, and that that kind of stuff translates to losses down the line.

Whereas there were people like you saying "WHO CARES!!! WE WON!!!!! THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!!!!11"

And of course every so often it showed its ugly face. Bad gameplans, no adjustments, 1/9/11, losing games we shouldn't,

a sound coach+ strong recruiting basically makes LSU a top 5 CFB program. We won't lose a bunch of close games.

Alabama is our equal. It's ok to lose to them every once in a while if our guys are put in optimum position to win.

Arkansas and Ole Miss should never really beat LSU. Maybe a cinderella team once every 5-6 years. A sound coach + good recruiting and we never lose to these teams like Miles has.
