The rant. Discovering new and innovative ways to determine that the sky is falling. This week...because of a game in 1996 we will shite the bed in NOLA.

In the regular season game in '96 FSU defenders were hitting Wuerrfel(sp) blatantly after he threw the ball and did it countless times trying to intimidate him and the UF team. They were penalized a couple of times but not nearly every time they did it. Spurrier made it a point to express how pissed he was about it after the game. He was really pissed as were the Gator players for what they percieved to be cheap shots.
Break to Jan 1 '97 and what happens. Spurrier buts wuerffel in the shotgun all night and throws the ball about 75% of the time. The UF players were easily the more motivated group and they punished FSU all night. The score was that bad for a reason.Spurrier was rubbing it in on Bowden and Mickey Andrews for those late hits from the 1st game.

In short, LSU/Bama has none of those hard feelings and reasons for vindication.

Does anyone really think a 1996 game between two totally different teams will play any part whatsoever in the outcome of the LSU - Bama rematch?

Oh...c'mon...CLM will let him take the last snap when we're ahead by 35 with :10 left on the clock! Which works for me....

On ESPN, Robert Smith picked Bama but only gave them (1) confidence point. In other words, he's scurred.

How many dumbass points did he use?

He only picked them by 1 to cover himself once they lose. Look Bama has every reason to be up, they get a cahnce to avenge their only loss and on top of it win a NC, how many teams get a chance like that? frickin zero! Some folks out there really like the Gumps. When LSU wins they can truly say they are a one of a kind team because they will not only have gone through the most difficult schedule EVER, but also will have beaten a team in the MNC that is heavily jaccked up to wanna defeat them with every reason in the WOLRD! To win and finish 14-0 will be a monumental FEAT!! frick, put'em in the Guinness book of world records!

17-13 sounds like a good score.

but that would mean Bama would have to kick 2 field goals though?
