Yet again, we are stacked at the WR position. In fact, I think it may prove to be the deepest that LSU has had to date.

So, I was looking at DD's (Scott) assumed depth chart. DEPTH CHART

WR-X
No. 83 Travin Dural 6-2, 203, JR
No. 82 DJ Chark 6-3, 186, SO
No. 87 Kevin Spears 6-2, 207, RSFR

WR-Z
No. 15 Malachi Dupré 6-3, 190, SO
No. 08 Trey Quinn 6-0, 197, SO
or No. 09 John Diarse 6-1, 209, SO
No. 03 Tyron Johnson 6-1, 189, FR

Of course, assuming that we have the improved QB play that we all hope for, what do you think the spread will be? Rank top-5 by receptions and then yards:

Receptions:
1. Dupre
2. Dural
3. Quinn
4. Diarse
5. Chark

Yards:
1. Dural
2. Dupre
3. Chark
4. Diarse
5. Quinn

This is the first time since 2006 we've had this much quality depth at the position.

Dupre will be our leading receiver this year. After him, Dural and Chark will have the most yards. Quinn and Diarse will have more catches. Tyron Johnson will get his looks as the season goes on -- he's too good to not play.

Dural is still the top dawg. He'll get the most catches, yards, and touchdowns. Dupre, Quinn, and Diarse are in the next group and all of them should get 20 catches at least. I'll hold off on yards and TDs until I see what we have at QB.

Dural is top dog, but if Brandon Harris starts and continues to start, then I believe Dupre will have comparae stats. Last year it seemed like Braandon look at Chi a lot.

Dural specifically called him out as being the most impressive young WR from the first scrimmage. He could get some early playing time as well.

I'd like to see LSU run 4-5 wr sets an run out of half the time. Get all of the garbage out of the box and let our offensive line dominate.

Why not? Saban did it last season with Sims.

I like where your head is at but should prob be closer to 30-40 rec for some of those guys.

Say lsu throws on avg 25 attempts = 300 for the season * 55-60% completion = about 170 completions.
So lets say thats 40-50 dural, 40-50 dupre , 25-30 for diarse 25-30 for quinn 20 for TEs / RBs and other receivers

Moffitt called out Jazz Ferguson and David Ducre as looking the most impressive out of the young guys during summer workouts.

Dupre gets most TDs. He's a big red zone target.

I agree. Everyone is sleeping on my man Jazz. That is why I posted the ENTIRE list of WR's, even the squad guys. All of these guys bring something to the table. Pumped to watch us go 4 and 5 wide to get as many of them on the field as often as possible.

So does Travin starting at X basically mean we won't ever see the speed sweep again?

Everyone's all over dupre's nuts (not a bad thing) and they're forgetting about diarse... He will be number two in terms of production after dural
