Horrible analogy. Just terrible. Bill Belichick was a TE and Center at Wesleyan, does that disqualify him as a defensive mind since he was an offensive player?
Terrible, I say terrible lol

I suspect if Peyton Manning wanted to be a defensive coach, he would be better than Lou Tepper or Maleveto.
I suspect Archie, Peyton, Eli, Spurrier, and many others understand the game well enough to coach any position.

Bimbo Rice is a joke being on playoff committee. As ugly and Lesbo as she is probably never been tackled by a man.

In an unrelated story, I am friends with Steve Delebars brother (pitcher for the Reds) and we play on a softball team together. He was telling me how when his brother is not playing he sometimes plays on a softball team. He looked at me and said I know, I know he's a pitcher and he never hits in the majors, but he can fricking crush the ball. He said his brother was the best overall players he's ever seen and just because he was a pitcher didn't mean he didn't know what the hell he was doing in other areas.
If you're a half arse decent athlete, you should be able to crush a softball.

I guarantee you Cain knows what the hell he is doing.
I have to question this; as a 3rd base coach he has really looked terrible many times this year. I mean TERRIBLE.

Nope, just pointing out an offensive player is considered one of the greatest defensive minds of our generation. Wade Phillips was a high school QB. I'm sure I could find a ton if I cared too, those are just 2 NFL guys I can think of off hand, you obviously knew none. Point is you got frustrated and said something stupid. Own it and move on.

The fact that someone played QB would military disqualify someone from me hiring them as a DC
What in the ever loving frick does that even mean?

I would assume that any half-decent QB would know a thing or two about how to pick up coverages and what frustrated him as a QB.
That would give him insight on what to teach defensive players, wouldn't it?

Elway basically said as much when he came back to work for the Broncos. Said he felt he was a better evaluator of defense because he spent all his time studying it.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I mean as a QB you have to read defenses, and you know what kind of defenses work effectively.

Thanks, Capt Obvious but he was referring to B/C level which is far from just half arse decent athletes.
