In no way am I saying Mett should have started. With the defense being one of the best I have ever seen I believe we would be undefeated with Mett starting. Lee doesn't get enough credit for what he did those first 7 games or so. I honestly can tell you I will jump for joy when we get new QB's no offense to JJ and Lee.

Would depend upon how he fared against Bama. That's really the only game where a certain type of QB play was required. For the rest, you could have plugged in 7 other SEC QBs and seen similar results.

I believe so we havnt won with great offense, met is infinitely more talented than the other two and it would have begun to show after a couple of games. Probably allowed LSU to do more on offense before it was all over with. Answer is yes still undefeated

Yeah. That's what I was thinking. I believe a good throwing QB could have attacked their secondary especially with the receivers that we had. Look what Brantley did too Bama secondary before getting hurt.

same thing Im so sick of reading the JL crybabies after WINNING games by DOUBLE DIGITS. That being said I long for the day when LSU has a competent QB.

We need to make sure Mett's backup is ready. What if Mett gets injured?

I want a freaking QB who will win us games not control the game.

You have no idea how Mett will perform and neither do I. There is one fellow, though, who is an expert in these sorts of things. He's also scouted Mett before we signed him, and he's been able to watch Mett practice all year. He thinks we'd be worse with Mett, otherwise he'd have started him. His name is Les Miles.

Was watching RG3 and wondering how our offense would look with a QB of his skills and then realized... WE HAVE ONE!

I would sure like to get in the head of Miles and understand why the projected starter for next year has had to 'pay his dues' instead of being used.

C'mon. There is no question Mett will be better than the 2 5th year seniors we have now.

I don't know. Remember that chemistry is an important facet in the success this year notwithstanding the talent level of JJ and JL.

Wrong, On wanting qb who will " win you games". That is also the qb who will " lose games". I will take our 2 seasoned qbs right now over any other qb minus Drew Brees or that guy from Baylor. Ask Bama and ask US what type of Qb wins national Championships. That would be seasoned game managers. Tebowesque to a degree.
Quit your whining and bitching. This is the best LSU team I have ever seen. Far and away. I will take JJ and JL. These guys are winners.
I am excited about Tigers next year but for now WE have the best LSU team ever and who is to say that would be the case without JJ and JL.

stay tuned, Lsu tiger football part two next year.
we will see if Mett lives up to expectations. I for one believe he will. I don't even try to figure out the hats thinking, I just know it works and that's all i need to know.
