Turn Overs was a major part of their loss since 35 were scored on them from them. McCarron looked like a dear in the headlights, like what JJ looked like on 1/9.

So if we would have avoided 3 of the 4 turnovers Bama had, yes I think we could take them with Hill doing what Henry did to them.

To me that was the remarkable thing about AJ last night, he only gave it up once. I thought that was real competent playing.

That was some inspired football for 60 minutes. They looked like they were on a mission.

They were. I was shocked by their effort, looked like a different OU team. I don't think anyone could have beat them tonight, except maybe FSU

Johnny tore Bama's D apart with a spread offense... against us, he was shut down, twice. Our run game is deadly and we stick to it - Bama doesn't.

Yes, we would have beaten OU.

Their QB wasn't chopped liver in this game in case u didn't notice....and the way they were pressuring AJ with that pass rush...wow...not a great recipe for success with AJ starting his first game. We would have needed the turnovers OU got.

We would have won. Bama didn't want to be in that game. Their minds were in Pasadena

I think LSU would have won tonite. One thing OU couldn't do was stop a big, fast back tonite in Henry... which fits right into Miles' plans with Hill. And Miles wouldn't have gone away from the run like Saban did tonight.

Defensively, we've shown that we can defend teams with the spread attacks (A&M, Auburn) better than Bama can... they're bigger but slower.

Plus, Miles owns Stoops

How do you think we would have fared?

I mean.. turnovers bro..
if bama didn't make those mistakes they would've won..
as would have LSU if they broke even on turnovers.
but anything can happen.. that's why it's played (hopefully once - in this case)

Nope, their QB is legit

vs ULM 11/28 86 yds 3 TDs int, 103 rush yards

vs WVU 10/20 119yds TD 2 int, 42 rush yards

vs Iowa St 8/14 61yds, 123 rush yards TD

vs KSU 14/20 171yds TD int, 82 rush yards TD

vs OK St. 3/7 28yds, 47 rush yards

He has played terrible this year and his competition has been terrible yet he lit the "vaunted" Saban defense up.

Hill would have gained over 200 and Jennings would have had a dry ball... All of a sudden Oklahoma was good because they beat BAMA?

I know lol. Trevor Knight plays like a garbage Manziel who we have crushed for two years straight. Oklahoma's defense is nowhere near IOWA's and we would have been dry indoors. I think Jennings would have lit up Oklahoma with the regular gameplan.

I actually think Miles' gameplan of running it down their throats would have worked better against OU.

To be honest, I think OU would have beaten most teams tonight. They played their azzes off and Stoops coached very aggressively. The D disrupted the QB and forced big mistakes and their QB was killing it along with the rest of their offense.

Chavis knows how to contain the HUNH. We would have fared better than Bama on defense. Saban refuses to adapt to the new paradigm. Would have been rough on offense with our freshman QB. With Mett, we beat them by 10.

If we are going this route, could it be that they played this hard because tey were tired of hearing how they were going to get destroyed? No other team sans FSU would have been heavily favored over Oklahoma and nobody would have basically said the game was over before it started either.

I don't think you would have seen this Oklahoma team tonight against anybody else.

Most people have been down on OU. I didn't even think they deserved to be in a BCS Bowl. So they probably would've heard similar talk in other bowls, but got it more so because they were playing Bama. I wasn't expecting what I saw.

Good compared to us, yes. We got our asses kicked by Bama. Remember?

And they lost to Auburn, who we beat. You can use the transitive property to prove anything you want.

Johnny was kind of on two wheels by the time he got to us and completely inaccurate because of the hurt thumb (but we did a good job on him anyway). I'll remind you that 3-9 Arkansas almost took us out on senior day if not for a miracle drive (also, see Ole Miss). Yes, I think we could've run on them, but their offense was doing jailbreak screens, bombs, shifts everywhere, etc. Most importantly, they had a dialed in QB who was nailing it against Bama's D. I'm not saying they would've have definitely beat us, but with that effort they gave tonight, it would have been tough. We would've had to run because that pass rush would've killed Mett or Jennings.
