They could if they wanted to convert all the bleachers to seats but that’s about it. I like having a 100k stadium and we can still fill it if we get back on the right track and the administration makes some common sense reforms to get people back on campus

Yep. And LSU won't be backing down.

Said this in a thread a few weeks ago started by someone else regarding the problem of LSU football attendance. Really should think about it. Much better atmosphere when Tiger Stadium held about 76000 as opposed to what we have now. I do believe Kentucky did this and would not hurt my feelings if this was explored.

I’m not even talking about atmosphere, but yea, Tiger Stadium is absurdly overrated

I’m talking about completely modernizing bathrooms/concessions, TV areas, beer garden, etc

There are enough people out there interested in going to LSU games to fill it. Why not make an effort to draw those people back with friendlier tailgating policies and a renewed focus on the customer? On a macro level Saban is right that P5 should play only P5. Also CFB should move to the NFL practice of block commercials rather than spread out so you no longer have a score-commercial-kick off-commerical-3 and out-commercial pattern that deflates and bores the crowd.

Making the stadium smaller is attacking the symptom rather than the disease

I like having that big of a stadium. Saying it holds 100,000 is something that just sounds good to me.

the problem is that by doing so, the 76,000 they keep in there would in no way shape or form be similar to the 76,000 that used to show up and create a great atmosphere.

Tons of Doctor wives, social sceners, etc. that can afford the tickets but don't really care about the game.

Cut back on the neutral site games and do more home/home.

I think cutting down on seats to add amenities AND what you said is how you bring people back

Within the next 5-10 years it'll happen. And Tiger Stadium won't be the only one, major programs built them too big, at the same time as extending TV access.

What amenities can you add by removing seats? Other than turning bleachers into seatbacks I don’t even know what that would look like.

Cutting out a section of seating to make one of those beer gardens overlooking play like you see in the NBA doesn’t seem practical for Tiger Stadium but I’m not an engineer.

AS long as we have an administration that is not serious about winning football games, we might as well

I'd like to see an app with mobile ticketing, concession delivery, an interactive stadium map, perhaps in-game seat upgrades, highlights and replays, etc.

As for the stadium, strip it down to 75,000 by replacing the bleachers with folding seats.

That would reduce it but I don’t know if you’d reduce it that much

Yea idk the specifics of it either. Maybe amenities inside the stadium wouldn’t, but the no more bleachers idea works too

Fair enough. Also I guess broadband is an issue for my app idea, even though apps take less than the internet.

Wifi upgrades are feasible and practical. At Levi’s Stadium you can download all 3 Godfather movies during peak traffic in like 10 seconds
