Guilbeau does what sells. Last night, I was listening to Sirius/XM CFB radio, and Guilbeau was a guest. The radio host asked him about the situation at LSU, and how it would affect the season. Guilbeau didn't hesitate to tell him he STILL thinks LSU wins the BCSNCG this season. Said there won't be much falloff if any from the offense, but defense is best since 2003, and will dominate. Said all LSU needs is a QB to play decent, and we'll win it all.
About Coach Miles, he said the bottom line is, he recruits great players to LSU, (said LSU more talented than Bama at the moment), and the players will walk through fire for him.
NOTHING like what he writes.

Read Chris Warner instead, if that's what you want.
it wasnt too long ago Warner was taking a beating on here too.
Ive noticed a trend here.
People on this board hate the following..
Espn
Gary Danilson
Matt Mascona
Vern
Songey
Jimmy Ott
Jaques Doucet
Glen G
Bobby Hebert
Randy Rosetta
and yes ... Jim Hawthorne
It's become comical.

I thought the article from Miles' latest presser was somewhat accurate though..Miles was typical Miles and said Jefferson has a lot on his plate now, which was why he was suspended.
Why not come out and say "What Jordan did was unacceptable and we will not tolerate his behavior, therefore he is suspended"
99 percent of coaches would say that IMO

Scooter does a very good job, but due to the LC American Press 1995-like website presence, he does not get much exposure.

My take from this is that Miles doesn't want to throw one of his players under the bus. They players really seem to respect Les and many see him as a father figure. To be sure, he should be stern with JJ in their personal talks, but as far as media goes, Miles has been careful not to appear as if his main concern is only himself. I think his often indecipherable coach-speak is simply a byproduct of his excellent recruiting skills.

I kind of agree. He doesn't 'know' if JJ is guilty or not, but he could have been a little more straight forward about this situation. I don't particularly enjoy how Miles defended his performance issues last season -- and the way he used and abused Lee by only putting him in when he absolutely needed him and then being very reluctant to give him any credit.
I think it's a shame that no matter how well Lee played last season, he only got his series and then came off the field, unless it was less than 5 min in the 4th quarter and we were down. Yet, at the first hint of JJ playing well, Miles had no issue leaving Lee on the bench.
I know many will disagree with me, but, at this point, it is alarming that he would suggest that JJ can come back this year -- instead of finally 100% backing Lee. I've never seen anything like this in my life, especially when we are talking about a qb who went 7 games last year without a td pass.

JJ may or may not be guilty as charged. He may or may not be deserving of missing his senior year and a shot at a pro contract.
But how about this:
Look at the fight video. Try to make sense of the BRPD charges (and yours) based upon it. Lowery's account is he was laying on the ground innocently unconscious and JJ strolled up and kicked him in the head. Problem is the video shows Lowery ether falling or knocked down and instantaneously kicked by someone appearing shorter than 6'5". Then Lowery is immediately helped up and walks off.
Considering loss of consciousness is a fairly important element in terms of the felony charges filed by BRPD, and considering the punk was never unconscious as documented on video, how about you try and STFU regarding supposed "unacceptable behavior" until the nature of that behavior is actually discerned?

Les seldom says anything negative about his players in public. Why start now? The man has class.

ESPN - at times
Gary Danielson - most of the time
Vern - 99% of the time
Glen G - when he's on TV, he makes himself look good; in print it's LSU bashing
Bobby Hebert - funny when he's drunk
Jim Hawthorne - nope

GG sounds like a butthurt little bitch in most every article ive ever seen. He has an agenda, and it may start with the coach. I don't think there is good blood between him and Miles and he still has the residue of Sabans man juices stuck to his chin.
Pathetic!
