Glad to hear that our offense is clicking hope it continues. No talk about defense though. Are we giving up big plays or what? Are fundamentaly sound? Need to hear they are ready to tear some heads off!!

If the D dominates scrimmage the O sucks and vice versa.

As long as Beckwith stays healthy we should be ok. IMO,the talent gap between our starting MLB and our 2nd string MLB is bigger than any other position.

*** Corey Raymond has grown very comfortable with his defensive back stable and look for him to have a deep DB rotation that will fluctuate based on who the opponent is.

*** There should not be any concern over the impact of Ed Orgeron and Kevin Steele’s influence on the defense one source said. “That front seven is coached up more than I can ever recall the defense being in the last seven years.” You know what LSU has in the secondary so that is even more validation to how good the defense could be in 2015.

How many sacks did we lose, 12? Gosh we'll never be able to replace that production

19 sacks total we're returning almost 40% of that production. we'll probably land in that 25-30 range this season for sacks.

76 TFL.. and we return near 60%

Hopefully the O can play ball control and keep the D off the field and fresh.

Defense does worry me at all...depth, maybe..Passing game, just enough to back the Safeties up, worries me the most. Now, things always change when you get punched in the Mouth, but we are returning the Best D in the SEC, and Beckwith is the Starter, not Welter. DT's, really no change, but improved from what we hear. Safeties will be better with Jamal Starting, even if Mills is hurt. Corners will be about what was there last year. LB's will be better IMO, just lean depth. The spotlight will be on the DE's, but with the sack total, last year, I think it will be better...

Also worried about depth at DT & LB.

Can Steele call a good game?
