With McCaffrey back at Stanford, Fournettes chances are slim to win Heisman

I guess it will all depend on which team has that great record since most Heisman hopefuls are on a 9 or 10 win team. I would love to see LF7 get an invite to New York but his chances of winning will probably be low because McCaffrey is unbelievable and should have won in 2015.

LF7 says he has 2 years left. Maybe he means it, even though probably not.

He will need 2k yards, 20 TD, and 100+ vs Alabama and other high profile games.

I just watched the highlights of the Rose Bowl..

I must say, that kid is ridiculous...wow! He is fun to watch

I hope LF learns to like "catching" the ball...

because he is darn good at it and will need these plays, yards and highlights to win the Heisman next year.

When you compare gifts, this white kid makes Henry look way over-rated.

McCaffrey only has a better chance because they do more with him. If LF was a little more utilized the race would be more than even.

Watson is about to pull a Vince Young and show all y'all who shoulda won the Heisman. I'm as big a McCaffrey fan as there is, but his ypc against Pac 12 opponents was less than 4.0. Since Stanford doesn't play FCS and cupcakes like we do in the SEC and ACC, his non conference numbers are more valid than your typical Chattanooga and Citadel garbage. However, he's going to need to do better against conference opponents next year if he's going to beat out LF7 and Watson.

I think McCaffrey starts the season with the edge and a lot more voters paying attention to him. Not because he's better, but because he got screwed this year. He should have one with no contest this year.

LF chances are in no way "slim", he's just going to have to have a stellar year to win.

Fournette just scored 5 TDs in a bowl game and will soon win the individual rushing title, 1st LSU player to do it.

He's losing 4 SRs on his O line and a SR QB. The guy is a hell of a player, but that's a lot to lose for a RB.

Miles will make it a point to feature LF even more next year. I think LF is the favorite to win it!

Most SEC defenses, and not ours, will be younger next year. Fournette will maintain his 160 ypg, solidifying the Heisman. McCaffrey is a great player, but the PAC-12 remains a tough conference and Stanford loses too many games.

Fournette wins the Heisman because he's on the best team in the country.

The Heisman usually goes to the best player on the best team (or at least playoff contender)

2015-Henry
2014-Mariota
2013-Winston
2010-Newton
2009-Ingram

etc.

The idea that the RB with the highest per game average in rushing, gain per play, and TDs per game doesn't even get invited to New York tells me those voting are so full of shite its embarrassing to college football and the trophy.

If anything you might see him featured less with the emergence of Guice

Fournette is obviously the horse but Guice has earned some playing time IMO

Exactly! The hype machine will be cranked up all summer. Dont be surprised if We start seeing McCaffery on tv every week doing something other than football like saving cats outta trees or jumping over moving traffic. Lol. Stanford may go to the Championship next year.
