We've got Etling - He won't be at that level just yet. Give him a year.

It's between him and etling so 50-50

Holler at me in spring and we'll revisit that number

Etling has very limited upside but this new offense suits his strengths very well. Worst case is him being a little better IMO. Brennan needs to hit the weights and be ready to compete for the starting position the following year.

I've watched a couple games Pitt played this year, and even more so after the Canada hire. After watching what Canada has done with Nathan Peterman, I am excited about what that means for Etling. He might actually be drafted after next year now. I really don't see Scott starting as a redshirt freshman, but it should be a great QB competition in the Spring of 2018.

Why not?

Scott's numbers in La. 5A >>>> Brennan's numbers in Miss. Church league

Also, apparently, Scott tore up the LSU freshmen in their little Tiger Bowl game they had in their off week.

200 yards passing, 100 yards rushing. Couple of TDs

Here's the deal on all these kids that go to Elite 11 camps they have been scrutinized by NFL caliber scouts and their expectations are very high. So high that they only think about being of campus for 3 years then on to the pros barring injury. This is the case with Shea Patterson, Eason,Rosen,Jackson,Buechele,Barnett,Stidham, Hurts and many more who have been thru the process of having Stardom thrust on there shoulders before setting foot on a college campus...and there parents who have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with George Whitfield or IMG Acadmey
to have there child have the best opportunity to succeed....the pros is the ultimate goal not LSU, Alabama or whoever so enjoy them while there here because success means there gone in a hurry....Ask Kevin Sumlin... the best player will play in 2017 for LSU.. I can promise you!!!!
