With a different coach, would we be in the SEC title game?

With better play-calling and some actual team discipline, we would have beaten not only Ole Miss, but also Florida. The complete clusterfrick on the sidelines lost us both those games.

There, I said it.

I guess that depends on the coach...just a different coach...NO! If we had any number of a 1,000 coaches in the game today we probably are worse off then we are now. Talent on the team alone will not get you the W!

And we still wouldn't have won the West.

Still wouldn't have been in the SECCG in that scenario.

Except at Ole Miss. Any other D1 coach wins that game.

better coaching we would have beaten ole miss. Florida doesn't matter so it comes down to the bama game. Regardless of who was on lsu's sidelines we would have still faced the same refs. so no.

No, we didn't have the talent on the lines, nor did we have the experience QB, but we certainly would not have looked like the bumbling mess that we looked like on the field. At times this year I though I was watching a lower tier SEC team like Kentucky or Vandy from the 90's.

In all honesty all of this debate and the real issue is the Ole Miss loss. The debate over Miles and a different coach comes down to the mess he made of the Ole Miss game. BAMA was not coaching they lead most of the game and lost the JJ,CS, and PP in the 4th that alone was enough but the officials didn't help things. Florida was not all Miles many factors played into that game to. So with another coach we beat Ole Miss, maybe Florida and lose to Bama...still not in the SEC Championship still 3rd in the SEC.

I have to agree with this statement to almost a 100%...it sure seems that way.

...the problem would have been, that we lost to Alabama and they would have still represented the West and Florida would still represent the EAST...
but we would be in a better position NATIONALLY
