Wing is normally very reliable but none of his special punts really worked in pinning them back. His timing was off and He finally shanked the one that mattered the most.

Now, you can't tell me Wing sucks because this is clearly not the case. It just shows how teams meltdown and the domino effect in all areas in a hostile environment. It was one of those days. I'm worried about the Oline but overall, the sky isn't falling.

We are still in this thing.

Yeah, that 60 yard punt when he was stading in his own end zone should have gone at least 80 yards.

Doesn't help when he's punting out our fricking endzone

He shanked one, it happens.

Special teams was a problem last night for LSU all the way around, but Wing did get off one beauty.

On this board it does not compute. I normally try to stay away after a close game but I couldn't resist reading the funny banter.

It was overall a pretty average day for him. Usually he pins them back pretty regularly. I'm ok with the shank, just think our entire team was out of sorts a bit.

Actually, I think the OP made an interesting point with a good example. The psychological phenomenon he discussed is real. As I pointed out in another thread, in 2007 we had two games on the road that were competitive late into the second half, and we lost them both - and won the national championship.

if your leader is a frazzled retard, your team will play like frazzled retards.

We expect greatness from him so when he has a less than stellar performance, it looks mediocre. That's what happened last night.

I thought that wing had a good night...don't agree that everyone was off...the defense played lights out and once again kept an opponent under 200 yards total offense. Not to mention the performance by the front seven maybe was the best they played all season especially with the speed Auburn has.

You do realize that was 100% because of the system in place.... If you are under the current system we would be playing in Orlando.... Using that season as an example to say we played hard and fought back and won a NC is dumb.... B/c it was 100% out of our hands
