@CodyWorsham Wade on Epps: He’s a weapon. He’s a 6-10 guy who is going to shoot 40 percent from 3.

@nicksuss Will Wade on Aaron Epps: You almost get disappointed when he misses shots. #LSU

Hope to see him have a big senior year. Finally healthy.

Epps and the rest of last year’s team need a swift kick in the arse, sounds like Wade is giving It to them. I hope he institutes a policy where lack of effort gets you benched immediately

Now I feel slightly less stupid for telling casual LSU basketball fans over the years he has a nice ceiling. A great athlete and he has a nice stroke for a guy his size

You? I'm already out here in my tent on the PMAC ramp for the opener vs. Alcorn St.

I’m right there with you. I’ve been touting his potential since the first time I saw him. Now it sounds like he is finally getting the coaching he needed to maximize that potential.

This year's football team has that effect, but...we finally have a basketball coach who knows what's coming off!

Will Wade will make LSU basketball respectable, if not yet a contender.

I really hate to get my hopes up so much about a basketball program that failed so much with expectations, but damn Wade just makes it hard not to do just that. Everything he is doing and saying just seems to be the right move. He is going to be a monster recruiting wise if and when the wins start coming. I was wondering last year how epps wasnt a major contributer considering he is so long and can shoot on an awful team.

no, not this year. This team won't be very talented.

People will downvote, but you're not wrong. And it's not at all a failure on Wade or the players. They'll play tough and smart basketball, but the SEC is going to be a meat grinder this year and I don't think we have the horses to run with the top teams this season. We'll be a lot better than last year, but I think some people are getting a little carried away with the hype. I think we'll be a mid-seed NIT team.

If Epps developed any sort of defensive game, he could be an end of bench NBA player with his offensive skillset. Not easy to find guys 6'10 who can drain 3's, get to the bucket and handle the ball.

I always thought the same about Epps. Maybe his defense and rebounding aren't great, but the guy can score, and with his range and his height, he can be a big offensive weapon.

Never understood why he didn't get more playing time. Oh right, Johnny Jones.

If Epps played hard last year , it was damned sure on offense. He was such a liability on defense I think it limited his playing time. I suspect he just mailed it in .
