1. He pays attention to detail
2. He isnt happy with mediocrity. He will even be mad with a ten point victory if the team didnt play well.
3. He doesn't allow excuses to prevent him from winning. Last night we beat the mighty Kentucky at Kentucky with terrible officiating.

He produces where it counts. Good job Will Wade.

He's a no excuse coach and he works them hard in the offseason when championship type teams are made.
I don't think LSU basketball has seen the strength and conditioning that Wade has brought to this program. It is a lot like when Saban came in and changed the culture of the entire program. This basketball program was dead on arrival until Wade got here.

It just goes to show it can be done and hopefully it's only the beginning. A lot of things have to break your way to win a national title in hoops in the unpredictable tournament format but if Wade stays and has a long career at LSU he will win a title at some point!

I really hope Gameday comes for Tennessee.

Agreed. Sure would be nice if the football program was also being lead by a bright, young mind who was highly sought after by other schools. Instead, we got O and E.

Hopefully his guts, playing to win all the time and attention to detail will rub off on other coaches at LSU!

Will Wade represents everything LSU fans don’t deserve. Remember posts like this next time you criticize a winning coach

Wade will get his salary and will earn it, I'm more concerned with sustaining the fan support this program has earned back this year and facilities upgrades to keep him. fans need to show up next non conf next year

I’m not a huge fan of cross-sports comparison of coaches. Why? Because it only serves to create division amongst fans that take it personal. With that said- Wade has turned around a program and accomplished a win against a top 5 team on road. Now, let’s make it to the dance and make plenty noise there!

Why, when I say that the lack of all these same qualities in the football teams OC and HC is exactly why the LSU football program is going to continue to be mediocre, do I get downvoted into oblivion?

Do LSU fans make more excuses for their football teams management than their basketball teams?

I could tell right away that the football team was going to look exactly the same as Les Miles had left it and I could likewise tell right away that Will Wade was going to be phenomenal. Some people are just very easy to read. I haven't missed a single LSU basketball game since the day Wade was hired and I hadn't watched a single LSU basketball game for the entire Johnny Jones era.

We do not have elite coaches knocking at our door, but we do have a coach with potential to be elite. I say we need to go all in on this guy and make basketball relevant again.

Can we clone him and put each one of him as governor, mayor of Baton Rouge, in charge of ebr schools, president of LSU, board of supervisors, compliance department, athletic director, football coach, and every sport that LSU has. Hell even make him the new barber in tangipahoa parish.

What's uninformed about it? Is it that he promised the best offensive coordinator in the country only the fire him and hire Les Miles' tight end coach? Is it that he promised to fix the offense and it's still a low-ranked shitshow like it's always been? Is it that he promised to be competitive with Alabama and once again they scored 0 points in a blowout loss?

What part is uninformed?

Like how you brought coach O up in the other thread?

You learn how recruiting works yet? That went really well for you since you’ve been bashing the class since you made your alter in December

Agree 100%. We only beat four top 10 teams this year and finished number six in the country. We only have the number three (or as low as seven) recruiting class, which includes the best player in the country (Stingley) and flipped the beat running back in the country from Georgia. I think O should be fired for this terrible coaching job he’a doing. It’s awful.

Wade is amazing. I was skeptical in December, so I have to acknowledge I was WAY WAY WRONG.

The class that finished almost identical in February that it was after ESD?

What happened to that late surge that was supposed to propel us into the top 3?

Oh, that's right. Top 3 was a Miles era thing. It's hilarious that yall keep bringing this up when, looking in hindsight,LSUs class was essentially finished at that point. They moved up one spot on Feb 6.

And I'm on record saying its q good class, just not some unheard of accomplishment like you want it to be.
