Faulk would be lucky to get half the touches he did when he was at LSU with the stable we have now. And I'd be surprised if he was the starter with the way Miles likes to pound the ball up the middle. He would have had a drastically different career if he played for LSU now though.

You should start one now just to mess with them.

This is about as far as you can go. He's good but nothing like Kenjon Barner.

Lets see where he ends up. I'm hoping he gets a legit shot. He should go somewhere that runs some sort of spread though. That is what type of back he is and he hasn't had any chance to show it at all.

I have often thought about such a daring task. We've still got over two months to rebel.

He's had plenty of time in practice to impress the coaches, and it's pretty obvious he hasn't yet.

From almost the moment Hill hit campus, there was buzz about he was going to get playing time no matter what, that he was too good to keep off the field. Unless I've missed some discussion, I don't think there's ever been much talk about Magee making an impact.

Do you not understand that my point is Magee is not the kind of back Hill is? Different types of backs work for different types of systems and Magee does not work for our system at all. I was worried about it when he came to LSU. Hill is a beast and no one is taking that away from him.

The kid would not only start, but be the bell horse for a lot of offenses around the country.

based on what? you people are so fricking presumptuous. high school is not college.

I'm not saying he couldn't be but damn........there is no evidence either way.

Deangelo Benton and Trevon Reed were gonna be studs her too, right?

Ah ok. I may have gotten him and Ware confused. I knew Ware played but I thought I had a memory of Magee giving it a shot too and not being good but I'll take the word of you and champion

so getting carries as a true frosh = not impressing coaches in practice?

Magee was getting reps as a trueFR in '11 and depth at RB was great then.

The kid has talent. Hope he stays. IMO, it would be a win-win if he took a RS in '13. That would allow Blue, Ford, and Ware to clear-out at RB and Boone and Wright at WR.

Wonder if he's being looked at for KO/punt returns.

yeah like the 2 freshmen off linemen who wouldnt have seen the field this year.
with out injuries, grades and 1 bleeding vagina we are stuck with the first group all year.
makes wonder why those young guys were not starting from the beginning.

Hill pushed him out in the spring and that moved him to WR. He wasn't going to move back to RB halfway through the season just to get more garbage carries, especially since LSU didn't blow teams away like last year.

lmao how seasons did faulk play pro ball?

hill would be the only one to challenge faulk, and faulk would prevail.

welp there's always hope we bust out the vaunted wildcat/jump pass/timeout/conversation on the sideline with a guy who is obviously part of a trick package/jump pass fail play again against UF next season

In the pro style offense the Patriots run Faulk played a ton of years as a third down back (maybe the best third down back ever). I'm not even saying for sure he wouldn't start now. I'm saying for Damn sure his carries would be cut a ton and just IMO he probably wouldn't start due to his running style and that Hill is exactly what Miles has been looking for. (a big back with vision and speed)
