There's a lot of forgiveness in the hearts of the Positigers when it comes to Miles' deficiencies.

If he screws up the DC hire, will they finally turn on him?

they will never turn on miles... they are delusional in their thinking and are convinced LSU can't do better...

I would bet my left leg that the budget Alleva has given to Miles is not enough for a splash hire

One thing we know for sure is that Saban would never screw up a DC hire.

If this gets botched miles and Alleva both need to be shown the door. I have 8 season tickets, give an assload over what taf requires and I'm furious.

Will negatigers start liking miles if he nails the hire?

Will negatigers rejoice if he does? Don't think anybody is taking this lightly, it's a hugely important hire for Les.

I'm a positiger

I want CP. But until we see the product on the field how will you know it was the wrong choice

As a negatiger, I would not be happy if he fricked it up. While I am no Miles fan, I am a fan of LSU. My desire for him to depart does not make me want the team to suffer.

In all fairness, if Miles doesn't frick up the DC hire, will every negatiger that started or contributed to one of the endless chicken little threads these past few days about how the DC hire was fricked up from the get go turn on themselves and, I dunno...self ban?

They will never turn on him because the are afraid of change. To most people on here under 21 CLM is all they really know

There are certain hires that we would know are bad from the jump (e.g., Lou Tepper, Stoops)

"But but but we sucked in the '90s so it's OK that we are barely over .500 in conference now."

I will be upset if stoops is the hire. While I find some of miles antics crazy I think he is an above average coach. I don't believe we would necessary make a better hire if he were to leave. I would like to see more creativity on offense. I think we were hamstrung by the lack of experience at the qb position. But I do think we will get better. Now with the dc hiring I don't want stoops or Steele. I think they will lose a portion of the fan base that is on the fence. We have the money and the resources to get one of our top 3 candidates. If these two are in the top two then I will say miles is one a really short leash and they better do well because the fans are getting restless. I for one was not upset to lose chavis We need some new blood and energy into the fan base and I think a new hire is good. We have some talented young players to build a defense around. I was frustrated that we didn't put pressure on third down more

Im posi Miles. I think hes done a terrific job here. But thats because he's hired well, recruited well and had us in some huge exciting games. If either of these slips, My posi for him slips. So as much as I love the man, Im not digging this QB or DC situation that we are in. The posi meter altho high is less than it was this time last yr.

He's right in the sense that using the 90s as a crutch to derail change is pretty pathetic.
