Will LSU break into Top 10 this week?

Two B1G teams (Michigan and Ohio State) ranked higher than LSU bit the dust yesterday. Makes room for some movement.

I would say 9 unless they put USC ahead of us. So at worst 10.

Yes but will be leapfrogged by USC.

I'd say 10. We will get jumped by USC.

They won on the road against a top ten team... They will be ahead of LSU...

Stanford was top 10? I thought 12 to 14 like LSU.

My bad... I thought they were #10.

We beat #13 8 days ago. UCLA and USC will move backwards sooner rather than later. If we are undefeated headed into Gainesville, we will be in the Top 10. Come out of the Swamp with a W, and it's West contention discussion time.
I guess the point I'm getting at is that if we continue to win, the ranking will take care of itself based on the opponent we beat and their ranking.

I agree with you GFunk, rankings don't mean anything if you don't keep winning...season is young, and the want to thump your chest over a couple early wins doesn't mean much in my book...
Great wins will generally equate to higher rankings, but higher rankings don't guaranty great wins!!!

Maybe. sports writers have their favorite every year like ND-AL-USC-Oregon & ect.

Michigan State, not Michigan. Their loss isn't as bad, on the road at Oregon, but their "brand" took a huge hit yesterday, so we might get past them on that.
UCLA looked turrible against Memphis--that's two weeks in a row they've sucked. We should get past them. I say yes, but right at #10.

Michigan State still looks like the clear winner in the B1G, despite the loss. But that entire conference has taken it up the tailpipe through two weeks. They will be hard pressed to argue their way into a single spot in the playoff at this point.

Tennessee having a strong showing against OU this week would really help the SEC's case for a second team in the playoff. Go Vols!
