So practicing FTs, emphasizing ball control, and not benching players who take bad 3s with 20 on the shot clock doesn't fall on the coach? Odd that some coaches generally field teams that do all of these things well, regardless

Lol. All of this. There are some really clueless people in this thread. I mean seriously. JJ's teams have consistently faltered at some or all of those things. Different players. Different years. Same coach.

We are rapidly coming to the end of the JOB 3, Martin and Mickey, and now BS eras. We are dangerously close to having nothing of substance to show for all that. Think about it.

You're right. But let's be honest- a lot of those are vs bottom dwellers of the SEC- some of which we had bigger leads and let it slip away to make it close. We rarely win a close game that matters- one that will be a nice "resume" win. Just doesn't happen much. That's the truely frustrating part.

But it all works its way out to accomplishing nothing much of substance. It's really pretty frustrating to watch our team step up with a chance to take the next step only to find some way to blow it again. The A&M game has become a must win- not so much for the win numbers but just to get a resume-win.

I won't pin tonight's loss on CJJ, but if he doesn't make the tourney this season, he should be a gone pecan.

How in the hell can you sell recruits with the statement, "Yeah, we had the #1 overall pick and missed the big dance, but...."

Just "make" it? The hoops experts on here said JJ should be Sweet 16 or bust this season. Of course you can't find any of those guys standing by that now. The fact remains that we still could accomplish that but you won't find many that think it's a real possibility with the way this team plays away from home.

If Frank Martin had this team, they would be unbeaten.

LSU is not a poor FT% shooting team even though they were awful tonight.

You can look at the schedule to see that we've won several close games this year.

I feel like this is a pretty cheap thread when LSU lost a road game against a good team that was favored to win.

When your 50+ years old you don't usually change or improve much most people have peaked and are costing by that point.

66% as a team before tonight is a lot closer to "awful" than it is to "great".

Look at individual players performances and you see that it's not across the board.

They'll likely be above 70% again this weekend at home.
