Will Danny Etling and only 4 losses save Miles job at end of year?

I was at the game and when Danny Etling came in it literally brought life into the entire stadium. We cheered like we just scored on Alabama. It was good to see the offense rally around him. He made a lot of good throws early on. He also shows better pocket presence, poise and accuracy than Harris. No doubt in my mind that he is the right man for the job going forward. Having said that our Oline still isn't very good and D isn't playing good enough either (too many busted coverages). I predict we have a decent year considering our various problems right now. I still see 4-5 losses at end of year. Do u guys think 4 losses at end of year and better QB play from Etling will save Miles job?

I don't see him keeping his job with 4 losses

I only watched on TV but it seemed like the energy even on defense was elevated after the first scoring drive. Like the team was brought back to life.

I'm of the feeling 3 losses makes it to where we can't be sure what will be done. I think 4 shifts it over and 5 makes it pretty much a done deal.

I think 4+ and he's history regardless. But I think 3 losses with a retooled offense gets him another year.

I honestly don't think 4 losses gets Les run off. Especially if Etling shows he can be a good SEC QB. Who knows, maybe it does, though.

ETA: I'll also point out, I want Miles gone no matter what. Wanted him gone last November.

Our DB's need serious work. Seems like they picked on DJ the whole night. It's harder to tell on tv but I think he is easily our weakest cover corner. The play where he intercepted the ball it seemed like he was in no mans land and just happened to have the ball trown straight to him. I think we should give someone else a shot

Also running a 3-4 your LB's have to be able to cover some and beckwith looks lost in coverage

Even after 2nd QTR tonight, I still feel that this team will have a tough run in the SEC. 4 SEC losses look possible. UF, ARK, OM, and Bama - not sure what will happen against TAMU and AU.

I think he only survives 4 losses if we continue to run the offense we used in the 2nd quarter.

Based on how quickly Les shut that down and dropped the 3 and 4 WR sets after that 2nd quarter, I don't think thats a real possibility.

Murtown its No doubt he is our weakest cover guy in starting rotation. I wonder if someone else takes his role. Great returner and good with ball in his hands. I would like to see him on offense some. I think Savion, Paris, or Fulton could easily have his DB job tho

only, huh??

yeah, short of an SEC championship and a berth in the playoff, Miles ain't surviving this go 'round... sorry, to the small, but vocal minority....

DJ got yanked and they put Paris in for a while, even before the long TD.

I have no problem with him going more conservative because we had a comfortable lead

If it's working in a tight game and he goes away from it then that will be something else

It reminds me of the "Start Tebow" crowd in Denver.

It makes no sense, but "he's a really nice guy".

The only way Les will save his job is if he wins an SEC Championship or at least gets a berth there.

It's going to be Atlanta or a severance package for Les. That's it.

No Atlanta, he's gone.
