I usually sit in the south endzone. Just wondering how the crowd is up there. Stand up and yell or is it a down in front kind of crowd?

Well you're not going to be standing the whole time if that's what you're asking. Gonna be a lot of Bama fans up there.

Mix. I sqt there a few times and had decent fans around. I enjoy the view up there. You can see plays develop.

Binoculars, you'll need them.

What row...Tiger Terrace is the best seat in the house to actually watch the game...1st and 2nd rows.

bullshite. Unless you are 80 years old with cataracts.... the view is very good and you can see plays develop nicely.

Also complete bullshite.

To the OP, there is nothing wrong with EU seats other than the climb....

eta: Damn! I just dissed you 777...didn't mean to...based on your profession and post history, I hope I didn't offend you...I just have had good times in the EU, (of course not QUITE as good as the lower bowl, I'll grant you that), but EU seats are not that bad at all!

Even if you've been up them a thousand times you always get a freaky feeling going up there. Your mind has to wrap around that you're going so high.

And about binoculars, maybe you could use them to see jersey numbers but you can always look at the screens to verify who's on the field.

My season tickets are on the 5th row of the EU at about the 40. Fantastic view and we yell all game. If you're at the top of upper deck i hope you like gumps.

For years I sat in the SEZ . Was able to also get seats in EU when it was built. I still have my SEZ seats but have not sat in them since getting the EU seats because for me it isn't even a close call. In my opinion the only time the SEZ seats are better (at least from a viewing standpoint) are when the teams are playing inside the 30 yd line on that side of the field. The view is great when that is happening. My EU seats are midfield in the row above the gold chair backs. Better overall viewing experience, in a section with other longtime season ticket holders, more room between rows (at least compared to SEZ), and more bathroom/concessions meaning shorter lines and therefore back to game quicker. I can only tell that for me and given the fact that I have a choice, my seats in the EU are better seats. I'm sure other people have different opinions. Not sure where you will be but if you are going to be in between the 30 yd lines and in the lower half of the upper deck, I think you will be pleased. Also, since adding the SEZ upper deck, the bowl effect now extend up into the upper decks. You definitely hear more of the crowd noise with the new addition.

I love the SEZ cool fans. I always have fun. The only downfall is like another poster said about seeing the field. Kind of hard to see the plays at the NEZ but other than that you'll have a ball.

Word of advise, you can avoid the ridiculous line at the escalator by using the ramp on the south east corner. With the new gates you can only get to the ramp by using the gates on the SEZ. They did a crappy job of communicating this at the beginning of this season.

Bring a tank of oxygen. People sometimes just pass out up there due to the high altitude. Also, if you have any supplies to bring with you, hire a Sherpa. You'll thanks me later.

I've sat in both the East Upper in both the top row and halfway up. I say the view is not really that bad. Sitting midway up or lower in the East Upper offers good views and for big games you have all the visitors above you so you don't have to interact with them. IMO more room in the seating areas than in the South Endzone and concessions and restrooms have much better access. I have a ticket in the East Upper gold seats for Bama.

awesome view but, unfortunately, the people sitting in the seats next to the handicapped areas inadvertantly (i hope) kick things on top of your head. plus when the wind blows, whatever is on the ground up there, like peanut shells or wrappers, ends up on your head. not cool. the first row isn't as susceptible.
