This is the SEC TN 84. And every coach that takes a job in the SEC knows the reality.

I'll be there every game and I'll support the team as best I can by cheering, showing up at the rah-rah Gridiron functions and I'll cheer for Les at a radio show or two every year.

But dealing with irrational fan bases is part of the gig unfortunately.

I will always pull for LSU but I cannot support the coaches and current powers that be. Sorry mate. Not anymore. This was the final straw.

I'll worry about that when it happens.

Any coach that coaches long enough, especially in the SEC, is going to have some rough seasons. Saban did. Meyer did. And Miles has. I'm thankful that we are fans of a program where losing 4 games is a rough season. Miles has this team winning on average 10 games a season, and I wouldn't ever call that "mediocre."

If LSU football has devolved into national championship or bust for you to derive any pleasure from it, then I feel sorry for you.

Look again chief - it was a cool to canning Alleva.

Canning Miles talk is a mistake right now.

Nothing to remotely justify it however, see what happens the rest of this season, on signing day and next season.

I read some interview earlier this year and he was asked if anyone ever said something negative to him when he's out and about

His statement was that he's never had a fan "come at him" (my words) while he's been head coach an that the fans have been great to him and his family

So one loss ( not even the worst one of his time here) is gonna get under his skin or anything

Which is a good thing

The dude fabricated a story about him talking with Arkansas so he could get a raise

He's not leaving on his own. He'll keep hiring assistants at $1 million per year to figure out what he can't figure out.

if Saban turns down your $8M and private jet, offer Miles a Greyhound bus ticket and see how it goes. you never know.

Mediocre is not the right word here unless you are talking about Miles' ability as a game day coach.

It's the glass ceiling that Miles guarantees that annoyed people who know modern LSU football has the ability to be truly great.

Arkansas offered him more than Saban was making last year !!

No they didn't.

It was bullshite done for him to get his $500,000 raise last year before we played in the Chick-fil-a bowl and lost.

quote:

Our intent was to address his contract following this year’s bowl game, but speculation about other job opportunities accelerated our process a little,” Alleva said. “I think we have accomplished the important step of securing Les Miles as our head coach for the long-term good of the program.”

Miles did acknowledge in a subsequent press conference that he did engage in very preliminary discussions with UA, saying that he is very good friends with that school’s athletic director, Jeff Long. The coach declined to say which side initiated the conversations.

Miles did deny, though, that there was a five-year, $27.5 million offer on the table from Arkansas.

I am still looking for tge reason everyone is mad at Miles. Defensive Coordinator? Ok yes defiantly needs blame
Zach Mettenberger? Yea 3 pics throwing into double coverage lots of blame

Don't come at me with Les needed to teach Mett. Thats what everyone said they did not want him to do. Also didnt want his hands in defense so get off that.

His inly bad call was not using the timeout with 26 seconds. Well thats great but we couldn't move the ball with 1:20 at UGA so doubt 20 seconds would been enough.

He pisses me off too and gets on my nerves but this game isn't on him.

You lose to a team like ole miss and you have to expect the negativity. Les knows this.

I will type this slowly so you might understand. LSU lost to an Ole Miss team that had 5 starters out on defense to open the game and a few went out as the game was played yesterday. We were down 17-0 at halftime against their 3rd string defense. Think about it.
