Wilkerson concerns me because of a conversation that I once had with his father, during the LSU-Miami Bowl game. I sat right in front of him and we talked for most of that game. He said that he didn't think too highly of Miles and that he would have not gone to LSU if it was Miles recruiting him.

I am calling bullshite on this. Ben didn't play for miles he only played for saban, you know the coach that ended his career.

Ben would be a great hire. He will get back to basics of actually teaching our guys technique. You know the two best years of Oline performance under stud had at LSU were the 2 years Ben was here as a GA, you know the '10 and '11 seasons.

I know his dad and that is no b.s. Ben does not like Miles. Said he worked too much as a g.a. That is a fact.

IIRC, hanagriff and the crew on 104.5 seem to think Washington might be the guy.

No it's not a fact. I know Ben, he has nothing but great things to say about Miles. It was a tough decision for him to leave for Grambling. Quit spreading shite like this on here.

Ben doesn't like Miles but he wants the O-line coaching job? Makes a ton of sense.

Hmmm Wilkerson's last game was Saban's last game. In 2005, the year we played Miami in the bowl game, Wilkerson was with the Cincinatti Bengals.

Not technically true. Wilkerson injured his knee against Vandy on October 30, ending his senior season. Saban coached 3 additional games at LSU.

But your point is well taken - Wilkerson has worked as a GA under Miles and is applying for the OL position now - also under Miles. Therefore, it must be concluded that any suggestion that he thinks less of Miles than Saban is - unsupported.

In fact, this is probably the mentorship that goes on, "Coach - I am interested in being an OL coach here." "Well, Ben, I think you will make a fine offensive line coach. I was a GA at my alma mater, and later came back to coach the OL there before becoming a coordinator, a position coach in the NFL and finally a head coach. I'll try to help you in any way I can. I recommend you find a vacancy that looks attractive to you and get some experience. With your NFL experience, Rimington trophy, All American and my recommendation - you should have no problem landing a job. Heck, in a few years, you might be coaching LSU's offensive line."

Just wish they would make an announcement on this today and let us know whether Brick will be staying or not. Uncertainty doesn't help with recruiting.
